We are pleased to share a valuable professional development opportunity that may be of interest to your organization and stakeholders involved in project development, fundraising, community initiatives, and grant acquisition.

The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), through its Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF), in collaboration with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and Canada's Local Engagement and Action Fund (LEAF), has launched a free online, self-paced training course on Grant Proposal Writing in the Caribbean Context.

This practical eLearning programme is designed to strengthen regional capacity to develop successful grant proposals and secure funding for community and development projects. Participants will gain knowledge and tools to move from project concept to fundable proposal through four key stages:

• Generating a clear project idea
• Identifying suitable funding opportunities
• Developing a compelling grant proposal
• Submitting proposals to funding agencies

The course features Caribbean-specific examples and insights from funders, community practitioners, and grant writers, and provides practical tools and step-by-step guidance that participants can immediately apply within their organizations and communities.

The programme is particularly relevant for:
• Government ministries, departments, and agencies
• National Disaster Management Offices
• Civil society organizations and NGOs
• Community-based organizations
• Local development practitioners
• Individuals involved in project planning, fundraising, and resource mobilization

Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate accredited by the University of Wolverhampton.

We encourage interested members and stakeholders to take advantage of this excellent learning opportunity to strengthen their grant-writing and resource mobilization capabilities.
