During her visit to Cambodia, Assistant Secretary Cate Dillon visited Sambor Prei K*k in Kampong Thom Province, alongside Vice Governor H.E. Kosal Han and Mr. Vithong Chan, Director of Archeology and Conservation of the Sambor Prei K*k National Authority, two U.S. exchange program alumni.
The United States has supported Sambor Prei K*k through past community education and site security programs and our newly announced $132,000 Cultural Property Agreement Implementation Grant (CPAIG) will integrate the Sambor Prei K*k National Authority’s inventory records into a centralized national digital heritage database, which will improve the site’s ability to monitor and protect its cultural heritage.
When local communities understand the value of their cultural heritage and are equipped to protect it, they become the most effective and sustainable line of defense against illicit excavation, looting, and trafficking. Through the CPAIG program, the United States is proud to empower local Cambodian communities as stewards of their own heritage.
ក្នុងអំឡុងពេលបំពេញទស្សនកិច្ចនៅកម្ពុជា ឧបការីរដ្ឋមន្ត្រីការបរទេសអាមេរិក លោកស្រី Cate Dillon បានអញ្ជើញទៅទស្សនាប្រាសាទសំបូរព្រៃគុក ក្នុងខេត្តកំពង់ធំ អមដំណើរដោយ ឯកឧត្តម ហាន កុសល អភិបាលរងខេត្ត និងលោក ចាន់ វីថុង ប្រធាននាយកដ្ឋានបុរាណវិទ្យា និងអភិរក្ស នៃអាជ្ញាធរជាតិសំបូរព្រៃគុក ដែលអ្នកទាំងពីរ ជាអតីតនិស្សិតនៃកម្មវិធីផ្លាស់ប្តូរទស្សនកិច្ចនៅសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក ។
សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក បានគាំទ្រតំបន់សំបូរព្រៃគុកតាមរយៈកម្មវិធីអប់រំសហគមន៍ និងកម្មវិធីពង្រឹងសន្តិសុខតំបន់នាពេលកន្លងមក។ ជាមួយគ្នានេះ ជំនួយថ្មីដែលបានប្រកាសមានទឹកប្រាក់ចំនួន ១៣២,០០០ ដុល្លារអាមេរិក ក្រោមកម្មវិធី Cultural Property Agreement Implementation Grant (CPAIG) នឹងរួមបញ្ចូលកំណត់ត្រាសារពើភណ្ឌរបស់អាជ្ញាធរជាតិសំបូរព្រៃគុក ទៅក្នុងមូលដ្ឋានទិន្នន័យបេតិកភណ្ឌឌីជីថលជាតិកណ្តាលមួយ ដែលនឹងជួយបង្កើនសមត្ថភាពរបស់តំបន់នេះក្នុងការតាមដាន និងការពារបេតិកភណ្ឌវប្បធម៌របស់ខ្លួន។
នៅពេលសហគមន៍មូលដ្ឋានយល់ដឹងអំពីតម្លៃនៃបេតិកភណ្ឌវប្បធម៌របស់ខ្លួន និងទទួលបានសមត្ថភាពក្នុងការការពារ ពួកគេនឹងក្លាយជាខ្សែការពារដែលមានប្រសិទ្ធភាព និងមាននិរន្តរភាពបំផុត ប្រឆាំងនឹងការជីកកកាយខុសច្បាប់ ការលួច និងការជួញដូរខុសច្បាប់។ តាមរយៈកម្មវិធី CPAIG សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកមានមោទនភាពក្នុងការផ្តល់អំណាចដល់សហគមន៍មូលដ្ឋានកម្ពុជា ឱ្យក្លាយជាអ្នកថែរក្សា និងអភិរក្សបេតិកភណ្ឌរបស់ពួកគេផ្ទាល់។
