Phnom Penh: On June 2-3, 2026, at the Building of the Council of Ministers, Her Excellency Sok Wisal, Undersecretary of State, Representative the high esteem of His Excellency Chhay Rithien, Minister of Rural Development, accompanied by Mr. Siyon Sochet, Deputy Director-General of Technology, Mr. Pheng Sambor, Director of the Department of Planning and Public Relations, and officials of the Department of Rural Roads, attended a narrow inter-ministerial meeting to review and discuss further the draft sub-decree on the management of the use of roadbeds along the road network, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Kha Bonnor, Vice President and Chairman of Working Group 1 of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ESCC) and His Excellency Ung Sereyvisoth, Vice President and Chairman of Working Group 1 of the Council of Legal Experts, and with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, representatives of the Ministry of Rural Development, representatives of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, representatives of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, the Economic, Social and Cultural Council, and the Council of Legal Experts, approximately 40 people.

Kampong Chhnang Province: On the morning of June 3, 2026, Her Excellency Mat Mara, Secretary of State and Chairman of the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development, representative the high esteem of His Excellency Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, accompanied by Her Excellency Kong Sothiry and Her Excellency Lim Muyleng, Secretary of State, presided over the distribution ceremony of energy-saving stoves held in Thlak Vien commune, Samaki Meanchey district, Kampong Chhnang province. The ceremony was also attended by the district council, the governor of the district government, representatives of the Kampong Chhnang Provincial Department of Women's Affairs, the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development, the commune chief, the commune council, local authorities and approximately 1,026 citizens.

On that occasion, Her Excellency Secretary of State provided one stove per family to poor families in the poverty 1, poverty 2 and vulnerable families, for a total of 995 stoves, equivalent to 995 families.

Phnom Penh: On Wednesday morning, June 3, 2026, H.E. Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, attended as guest of honor the inauguration of a three story building and other achievements at the National Institute of Physical Education and Sports, under the high presidency of Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in Svay Pak Sangkat, Russei Keo District, Phnom Penh.

Alongside the inaugurations, a ceremony was held to confer basic teacher certificates and bachelor’s degrees in physical education to a total of 380 graduating teacher trainees, including 68 women. Of these, 314 graduates (including 58 women) completed the basic teacher training program (12+2) specializing in physical education and sports, and 66 graduates (including 10 women) completed the basic teacher training program (12+4) at the bachelor’s level in physical education and sports.

In his remarks marking the inauguration and the conferment of degrees, Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that the construction of the new facilities and the broader achievements reflect the Royal Government’s efforts to advance education, physical education, and sports. He emphasized that building and safeguarding a strong nation depends on strong people—and strong people, in turn, depend on sustained investment in human resources across society, particularly in the education and health sectors.

It should be recalled that, within the spirit of implementing Phase I of the Royal Government’s Pentagonal Strategy, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport continues to prioritize physical education and sports in connection with general education, while promoting the nationwide movement “Each youth masters at least one sport for life.”

Phnom Penh: On 2 June 2026, Her Excellency Mat Mara, Secretary of State, Representative the High esteem of H.E. Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, presided over the May monthly meeting of the Gender Mainstreaming Working Group to review the Ministry of Rural Development’s Gender Mainstreaming Strategic Plan 2025–2030. The meeting was attended by the Vice Chair of the Working Group and senior leaders, including Secretaries of State, Undersecretaries of State, Directors General, Deputy Directors General, Directors, Deputy Directors, and representatives from the Ministry of Women's Affairs. Participants also included H.E. Thae Chhunhak, Director General of the General Department of Gender Equality and Economic Development, Ms. Seng Phal Davin, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Gender Equality and Economic Development of the Ministry of Women's Affairs, as well as members of the Gender Mainstreaming Working Group of the Ministry of Rural Development. A total of 34 participants attended the meeting, including 27 women.

The meeting was organized with the objective of reviewing the implementation progress and achievements of the Ministry of Rural Development’s Gender Mainstreaming Working Group, as well as examining the Gender Mainstreaming Strategic Plan 2025–2030. It also provided an opportunity to identify solutions and address the challenges encountered during the implementation process.

Kampong Thom Province: On June 2, 2026, His Excellency Dr. Nuon Daniel, Secretary of State and Director of the Rural Infrastructure Development for Cambodia (RID4CAM) Program, Representative the high esteem of His Excellency Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, along with leaders and officials of the RID4CAM Program Management Unit, the PIC and the Kampong Thom Provincial Rural Development Department, accompanied a donor mission led by Mr. Thomas Rachel, Member of the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development, German Bundestag, along with representatives of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Cambodia and the German Development Bank (KfW) in Cambodia, to inspect and assess the progress of the construction of a road (Toul Damnak-Kur) with a length of 5,500 meters in Toul Damnak Village, Chong Doung Commune, Baray District, Kampong Thom Province, within the framework of the Rural Infrastructure Development for Cambodia (RID4CAM) Program, and met with authorities and beneficiaries.

រាជធានីភ្នំពេញ៖ នាព្រឹកថ្ងៃចន្ទ ១រោច ខែជេស្ឋ ឆ្នាំមមី អដ្ឋស័ក ព.ស.២៥៧០ ត្រូវនឹងថ្ងៃទី១ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ ក្រសួងអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ជនបទ និងក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ ក្នុងនាមជាសេនាធិការឱ្យរាជរដ្ឋាភិបាលនីតិកាលទី៧ នៃរដ្ឋសភា និងក្រោមអភិក្រម “ជវភាពនៃប្រព័ន្ធតួអង្គតែមួយ” បានរៀបចំពិធីចុះហត្ថលេខាលើអនុស្សរណៈនៃការយោគយល់គ្នាស្តីពី ”កិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការភាពជាដៃគូលើការជំរុញការងារអភិវឌ្ឍវិស័យទេសចរណ៍ និងវិស័យអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ជនបទ” ក្រោមអធិបតីភាពដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់របស់ ឯកឧត្តម ឆាយ ឫទ្ធិសែន រដ្ឋមន្ត្រីក្រសួងអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ជនបទ និង ឯកឧត្តម ហួត ហាក់ រដ្ឋមន្រ្តីក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ នៅទីស្តីការក្រសួងអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ជនបទ។ ពិធីដ៏មានសារៈសំខាន់ និងប្រកបដោយអត្ថន័យនេះ មានការអញ្ជើញចូលរួមពីសំណាក់ ឯកឧត្តមរដ្ឋលេខាធិការប្រចាំការ ឯកឧត្តម លោកជំទាវ លោក លោកស្រី ថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំ និងប្រតិភូអមដំណើរនៃក្រសួងទាំងពីរ។
