His Excellency Dr. Chhat Sochhet was born in a poor family in Rokados Village, Kraing Tayong Commune, Peam Chor District, Prey Veng Province. He lived with his mother who was the only one to bring him up and support him everything. His father died of the undergrounded explosive bomb. Dr. Chhat Sochhet had been a monk and studied Buddhism since 1997 from the primary to doctoral degree’s levels. Sin

ce he was in monkhood, he used to visit and study in many countries in the world like India, China, Sri Lanka, French, Thailand, Vietnam, and the United States of America. He has also visited numerous cities and states in the US such as Washington DC, Washington State, Virginia State, Maryland State, Kentucky State,Tennessee State, New York City, Pennsylvania State, New Jersey State, Georgia State, Arizona State, California State, Minnesota State, and IIIinios State, Dr. Chat Sochhet left from the monk-hood in 2017. After leaving the monk-hood, Dr. Chhat Sochhet has visited and studied in Singapore, United Arab Emirate, Japan, England, South Korea, Burma, and Malaysia. Dr. Chhat Sochhet is serving as the consultant to National Authority of Combating Drug (NACD), which is equivalent to Under-Secretary of State in the Royal Government of Cambodia. He is also the professor at various institutes and universities in the capital city of Cambodia. He also owns a bookstore whose name is Chhat Sochhet Bookstore. Dr. Chhat Sochhet has received the highest medal award from Cambodian King on 08 April 2021. H.E.Dr. Chhat Sochhet is the winner of the 2022 leadership Debate hosted by Rothaleardship organised Dr. Chhat Sochhet to become the goodwill Ambassador Leadership 2022.
