On the morning of June 17, 2026, the Institute for Banking Studies (IBS) warmly welcomed a total of 98 students and teachers from Kampong Thmar High School for a study tour at the institute. On the morning of June 15, 2026, the Institute for Banking Studies (IBS), in collaboration with the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF), hosted an insightful workshop titled "Don’t Lead like a Woman, Really?", with the aim of advocating for gender equality and empowering women in leadership roles across various organizations.

The workshop drew approximately 200 participants, who were deeply inspired by various presentations and panel discussions led by high-profile female leaders from both the public and private sectors.

In addition to these impactful discussions, all ticket proceeds from the event will be donated to fund the renovation and construction of Ta Oak Primary and High School in Kampong Thom Province.

នាព្រឹកថ្ងៃទី០៩ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ នេះ វិទ្យាស្ថានសិក្សាបច្ចេកទេសធនាគារ (វ.ប.ធ.) បានរៀបចំកម្មវិធីតម្រង់ទិស ត្រៀមសម្រាប់ឆមាសទី២ នៃឆ្នាំសិក្សា ២០២៥-២០២៦ ជូនដល់សាស្ត្រាចារ្យទាំងអស់របស់ វ.ប.ធ.។ នៅក្នុងកម្មវិធីនេះ មន្ត្រីជំនាញ វ.ប.ធ. បានធ្វើបទបង្ហាញចំនួន៤ រួមមាន ៖ (១) ការតម្រង់ទិសការងារបង្រៀន (២) ការប្រើប្រាស់ប្រព័ន្ធសង្ខេបការបង្រៀន (Teaching Summary System) (៣) វិធីសាស្ត្រគរុកោសល្យតាមបែប Bloom's Taxonomy (៤) ការធ្វើទំនើបកម្មការអប់រំតាមរយៈការប្រើប្រាស់បច្ចេកវិទ្យាឌីជីថល ដូចជា Microsoft Office 365 and Essential Tools, Microsoft Teams and Learning Management និងការប្រើប្រាស់ប្រព័ន្ធបញ្ញាសិប្បនិម្មិត (Effective AI Prompting Guide for Educators) សម្រាប់ការបង្រៀន។

On the morning of June 9, 2026, the Institute of Banking Studies (IBS) organized an orientation session for its lecturers in preparation for Semester 2 of the 2025–2026 academic year.
The program covered the following topics:
1. Teaching orientation;
2. Use of the Teaching Summary System;
3. Pedagogical approaches based on Bloom’s Taxonomy; and
4. Modernizing education through the use of digital technologies, including Microsoft 365 and its essential tools, Microsoft Teams, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a focus on effective AI prompting for educators.

The workshop aimed to strengthen lecturers’ capacities, enhance their pedagogical approaches, and improve their effectiveness in integrating and applying digital technologies in teaching. It also sought to promote more effective, modern, and high-quality educational practices.

At the same time, IBS continues to actively promote and support reform initiatives in line with the Royal Government’s Pentagonal Strategy – Phase I, Pillar 1, which focuses on enhancing the quality of education, science, and technology. These efforts are intended to foster a high-quality and inclusive learning environment that is well aligned with the demands of the digital economy.

On the morning of June 6, 2026, the Institute of Banking Studies (IBS) hosted a hands-on workshop, "How to Write an Internship Report," for our first-generation Bachelor's students in Banking Management.
With many of our students currently is conducting internships at the National Bank of Cambodia and partner institutions, this session focused on a vital skill: turning their real-world experience into a clear, well-structured report. The workshop strengthened their writing capabilities and highlighted why proper report formatting matters for both academic success and professional growth.

On the morning of June 4, 2026, the Institute for Banking Studies (IBS) hosted a workshop on “Career in Accounting and Finance” in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Cambodia and the Business School of Accountancy (BSA) to approximately 150 IBS students. The workshop aimed to share knowledge and career opportunities in the accounting and finance sectors, with a particular focus on preparing students to successfully gain the ACCA Qualification and attain ACCA membership for their future careers. Additionally, it was an honor to have a senior leadership of the international auditing firm, PwC Cambodia, to share his insights and career opportunities as an independent auditor, as well as to introduce employment opportunity within PwC Cambodia.

On June 1, 2026, H.E. Yvon SANA BANGUI, Governor of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) and as a high-level delegation of Francophone central bank governors, paid a visit to the Institute for Banking Studies (IBS) to learn about its development, training activities, and academic programs.
This visit took place after his participation in the 28th Conference of Central Bank Governors of Francophone Countries, which Cambodia hosted on May 28–29, 2026, in Phnom Penh.
