Trade Facilitation: Improved Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Handling in Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS)

The Kingdom of Cambodia Trade Facilitation Project “Improved Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Handling in Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS)’ commenced operations on January 9th 2013. This is a trade facilitation project designed to strengthen institutions and operational and management capacities in the area of sanitary and phytosanitary measures (SPS) in Cambodia and enhance capacities needed for o

perating cost-effective SPS systems that facilitate trade and protect plant, animal and human health. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) is the Executing Agency (EA). There are four Implementing Agencies (IA): the Department of Plant Protection (DPP) in the General Directorate of Agriculture (GDA) for Plant Health, the Department of Animal Health and Production (DAHP) for Animal Health, the Department of Drugs and Food (DDF) of Ministry of Health (MoH) in cooperation with CamControl in the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) for Food Safety, and the Royal University Of Agriculture (RUA) for Education.
