Throughout the Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing Workshop on “Sustainable Finance Taxonomy, IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, and Climate Risks,” held on 26–27 May 2026, we were honored to learn from an incredible line up of speakers who shared their expertise, experiences, and insights.
A sincere thank you to:
• Mr. Leang Sophal, Deputy Director of Climate Change, Ministry of Environment, for sharing Cambodia’s climate policy framework and its implications for the financial sector, including NDC 3.0, the Cambodia Climate Change Strategic Plan 2024–2033, and the Long-Term Strategy for Carbon Neutrality 2050.
• H.E. Chheng Vatanak, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior and Deputy Head of NCDDS, for introducing the GCF’s mandate, funding modalities, and accreditation pathways, while highlighting Cambodia’s engagement and opportunities for private banks toward Direct Access Entity (DAE) accreditation.
• Mr. Long Vibunrith, Deputy General Director of Central Banking Service, for presenting the Sustainable Finance Taxonomy for the Cambodian banking sector.
• Mr. Kakada Dourng, IFC’s Country Advisory and Economics Lead for Cambodia, for sharing valuable insights on the application of the Sustainable Finance Taxonomy within Cambodia’s banking sector.
• Mr. Remy Neou from NEOU Audit and Advisory, for his insightful sessions on IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, IFRS S1 requirements, and climate risk training across both workshop days.
• Ms. Pera Yulianingsih from the Indonesia Institute of Accountants, for sharing Indonesia’s experience and lessons learned on banking sustainability disclosure.
