Welcome to the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Cyprus to Kingdom of Cambodia official page!
I am Salah A. Essa, the newly appointed honorary consulate of the Republic of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
It is a great honor to serve as the Republic of Cyprus's honorary consul in Cambodia, a country with a long history, a rich culture, and an excellent relationship with Cambodia.
Cyprus and Cambodia established diplomatic relations in 2000, marking the 23rd anniversary of the partnership in 2023. Cambodian-Cypriot relations are improving as a high-level delegation visits the Kingdom to assess the potential between the two countries.
As honorary consul, I plan to meet with as many Cypriots as possible from both the public and private sectors to have a deeper knowledge of the country's society and culture. I will do all possible to further promote Cyprus-Cambodia relations through such exchanges, including investing in tourism, trade, cultural exchange, smart city, and waste management solutions.
It is also my important duty to ensure the safety of Cypriot residents in Cambodia, assist them in their daily lives, and encourage Cypriot businesses in their operations in Cambodia.
I will work to fulfill these tasks to the very best of my ability.
