✨ Phnom Penh: On 28 May 2026, at 9:00 AM, at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), H.E. Dr. Phan Phalla, Secretary of State of the MEF and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Economic and Financial Policy Committee (EFPC), and H.E. Dr. Kong Marry, Secretary of State of the MEF, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Digital Economy and Business Committee (DEBC), and Chair of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on Electronic Services for Business (ESB), co-chaired a meeting on reviewing the status of business registration and deliberating on the establishment of a registration mechanism for small and medium enterprises.

This meeting aimed to examine and study the streamlining of business registration procedures, as well as to clearly define the categories of businesses in order to facilitate smoother and more transparent registration processes.

🔹 នារសៀលថ្ងៃទី ២៧ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦, លោក សុង ម៉េងថុង, អ្នកគ្រប់គ្រងនាយកដ្ឋានបច្ចេកវិទ្យា និង នវានុវត្តន៍នៃមជ្ឈមណ្ឌលបណ្តុះធុរកិច្ចថ្មី "តេជោ" បានអញ្ជើញចូលរួម និង ធ្វើបទបង្ហាញក្នុង "សិក្ខាសាលាស្តីអំពីប្រព័ន្ធផ្លាស់ប្តូរទិន្នន័យ" (Data Exchange Systems Workshop) ដែលត្រូវបានសហការរៀបចំ ដោយធនាគារអភិវឌ្ឍន៍អាស៊ី (ADB), Center for Digital Public Infrastructure (CDPI) និង Dalberg។
សិក្ខាសាលានេះ ត្រូវបានរៀបចំឡើងដោយផ្តោតលើគោលគំនិតសំខាន់ៗនៃប្រព័ន្ធផ្លាស់ប្តូរទិន្នន័យ, ហេដ្ឋារចនាសម្ព័ន្ធសាធារណៈឌីជីថល (DPI), អត្ថប្រយោជន៍, ប្រភេទគំរូនៃប្រព័ន្ធផ្លាស់ប្តូរទិន្នន័យ និង ​ជំហានគ្រឹះសម្រាប់ការរៀបចំប្រព័ន្ធប្រកបដោយប្រសិទ្ធភាព។ ក្នុងឱកាសនោះ លោក សុង ម៉េងថុង ក៏បានចូលរួមជាវាគ្មិនដោយបានធ្វើបទបង្ហាញលើប្រធានបទ “Cambodia Spotlight - Cambodia Data eXchange (CamDX)” ដើម្បីចែករំលែកអំពីបទពិសោធន៍ និង តួនាទីរបស់ CamDX ក្នុងការគាំទ្រអន្តរប្រតិបត្តិការឌីជីថល របស់រាជរដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជា។

🔹 On the afternoon of May 27, 2026, Mr. Song Mengthong, Manager of Technology and Innovation Department of Techo Startup Center, attended and delivered a presentation at the “Data Exchange Systems Workshop”, jointly organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Centre for Digital Public Infrastructure (CDPI), and Dalberg.
The workshop addressed key concepts regarding data exchange systems, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), benefits, data exchange system archetypes and foundational steps for building effective data exchange systems. In this occasion, Mr. Mengthong presented the “Cambodia Spotlight - Cambodia Data eXchange (CamDX)”, sharing Cambodia’s experience and the role of CamDX in supporting digital interoperability and the digital transformation agenda of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

The project is being implemented in collaboration with H.E. Oknha Sok Piseth, Head of the Special Working Group of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei, with technical assistance from the Cambodia-Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED). The meeting was also attended by Oknha Sor Kinal, President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia, Mrs. Kanu Negi, representative of the Australian Embassy in Cambodia, and the Alpha Desk Partner team.

The objective of the meeting was to review and agree on the scope of work and implementation timeline prior to the official commencement of the research study project. In Phase I, the study focuses on five priority sectors: agricultural product processing; food and beverage processing; agricultural inputs; electronics products and the electric vehicle ecosystem; and tourism. As a result, the meeting endorsed the work plan and officially launched the research study project aimed at understanding the practical experiences of businesses in the licensing and permit application process to addressing key challenges, including procedural redundancies, overlapping requirements, administrative burdens, and regulatory bottlenecks.

The meeting objectives were to Modify and add functions to the MISTI service system on the Online Business Registration system.
