The Sepsis-6 is a bundle of 6 immediate actions used to rapidly treat suspected sepsis — ideally started within 1 hour to reduce mortality.

Easy way to remember:
“3 Give + 3 Take”

𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝘅𝘆𝗴𝗲𝗻
➤ Improves tissue oxygen delivery
➤ Target SpO₂:
• ≥94% in most patients
• 88–92% in COPD risk patients

𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀
➤ Obtain before antibiotics if no major delay

𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗩 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀
➤ Start broad-spectrum antibiotics early

𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗩 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗱𝘀
➤ Usually crystalloids for hypotension or hypoperfusion

➤ Helps assess severity of tissue hypoperfusion

➤ Target ≥0.5 mL/kg/hr
