I had the honor of representing the Vihiga County Assembly and our esteemed Hon. Speaker as I witnessed H.E. Governor Dr. Wilber Ottichilo assent to three pivotal Bills at the County Headquarters.

The laws signed into effect are:

1. The Vihiga County Vocational Training Centres Act, 2025
2. The Vihiga County Finance Act, 2025
3. The Vihiga County Public Service Boards Act, 2025

These progressive pieces of legislation will drive meaningful change across our county. The Vocational Training Centres Act establishes robust governance, funding mechanisms, and industry partnerships for our VTCs, while introducing innovative earn-as-you-learn programs to equip our youth with practical skills and better job opportunities.

The Finance Act, 2025 lays a solid foundation for revenue mobilization, prudent resource allocation, and sustainable funding of county initiatives—promoting fiscal responsibility and enhanced service delivery.

Meanwhile, the Public Service Boards Act, 2025 bolsters professionalism, accountability, and efficient human resource management in our public service.

As a Nominated MCA dedicated to good governance and youth empowerment, I celebrate this milestone. These laws will strengthen institutions, empower our young people, and improve lives in Vihiga County. Congratulations to H.E. the Governor and all stakeholders involved!

Proud to have attended the Vihiga County HPV Single-Dose Launch and Awareness Event at Mbale Municipal Ground! As a Nominated MCA committed to women's health and community well-being, it was inspiring to join fellow leaders in championing this vital initiative under the theme "Prevention is Power: HPV Vaccine Awareness."

We discussed the risks of HPV, the game-changing benefits of the single-dose vaccine, and ways to boost uptake across our county. Let's all prioritize prevention—get vaccinated and protect our loved ones from cervical cancer and other HPV-related illnesses. A huge thank you to Hon. Kitungulu Nicholas and the Department of Health for organizing this impactful event!

🌹 Today was a somber day as I had the honor of attending the burial service for Florence Mideva in Gavudi Village, Lusengeli Sublocation, Wodanga Ward. It was an emotional occasion filled with memories, reflection, and gratitude for a life lived.

🤝 Accompanied by the remarkable MCA of Wodanga Ward, we stood in solidarity with the grieving family and offered our deepest condolences. Our presence was a small gesture of support during this difficult time, as we shared in their sorrow and celebrated the life of a beloved community member.

💔 The loss of Florence Mideva is deeply felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warm heart, kindness, and indomitable spirit left an indelible mark on our hearts, and her absence will be keenly felt.

⚖️ As we gathered to pay our respects, it was a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing those we hold dear. We shared moments of reflection, shared memories, and found solace in each other's presence. It is during challenging times like these that our community truly comes together and supports one another.

After attending the service in Gavudi Village, we proceeded to pay our final respects to Mama Norah Vugutsa Chanzu at Lusengeli village. This solemn burial service took place in Lusengeli Sublocation, within the Wodanga Ward. Noteworthy officials present included the esteemed Assistant Chief, Mr. Stephen Museywa, as well as the revered RTD Chief, Mr. Muzembi.

During this event, the leaders felt compelled to address the residents of the village, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that all form one students have successfully enrolled in secondary schools. It was made abundantly clear that no students should remain at home, as education is the fundamental right of every child.

With an evident sense of urgency, the leaders urged parents and guardians to diligently accompany their children to their respective secondary schools, ensuring a smooth transition into this crucial phase of their academic lives. They underscored the significance of providing an enabling environment for the younger generation to thrive and succeed.

In conclusion, the leaders left no room for ambiguity - the education of our youth is paramount, and no student should be left behind. May this resonant message inspire action in our community, driving us to uphold the promise of a bright future for every child.

Today, I had the privilege of offering my heartfelt condolences to the grieving family of mama Ezina Mudeitsi Chavaregi and her beloved son, Morrice Angutsa Ibwoyi, who tragically lost their lives in a devastating road accident.

The solemn burial service for both individuals is currently underway at Mahyagalo-Lososi village, located in the serene Vokoli Sublocation of Wodanga. It was heartening to see the elected Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Wodanga Ward, Vincent Atsiaya, also present to pay his respects and support the bereaved family during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends as they navigate the immense pain and loss caused by this unforeseen tragedy. May they find solace in knowing that their beloved ones will forever be remembered for their vibrant spirits, kindness, and the positive impact they had on the lives they touched.

Let us unite as a community, extending our unwavering support and love to the grieving family, providing them with the strength they need to heal and find peace as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
