Senator Wahome Wamatinga mourn Ann Wanjiru Mumbuchi.

I'm truly saddened by the loss of my friend Muchiru.

She was an incredible person who made a significant impact on her community and those around her.

Her dedication to empowering others and her leadership in the political landscape are commendable.

It's important to celebrate her life and the positive influence she had on so many.

My thoughts are with her family, and all who knew and loved her during this difficult time.

Rest in eternal peace, Muchiru.

Today Wamatinga Foundation launched Smart Toto clubs alongside the distribution of fortified uji flour under the Uji Wa Afya Programme.

Smart Toto Clubs are interactive, inclusive and educative clubs designed for primary level school going children.

Under Toto Smart Clubs, the club coordinators proceeded with educating the students, in their various focus groups, the aspect of developing a reading culture through having book clubs days with the story books donated, the aspect of responsibility through adopting a fruit seedling, taking care of their seedling till maturity as well as emphasis on the aspect of appraisals to the performing focus group to motivate them.

The purpose for the clubs is to build and cultivate a reading culture, speaking out on mental health related problems affecting children, a sense of responsibility to nurture them as holistic beings. The clubs are designed to bring out the best in them, employ an open dialogue that is child friendly coordinated by trained trainers/coordinators.

Our reach is wide as we are touching school across the 30 wards in Nyeri county.

For secondary school, the clubs are SMART TEEN CLUBS. To address challenges faced by teenagers at adolescent age. Same ideation different concept and activities friendly to secondary students.

Through reviews to monitor the progress of each club in each school through the help of the club coordinators, we as the Wamatinga Foundation, shall be able to assess the progress and impact of the club to the students, institution and community in general.

Together, Let's demistify stigma and myths about children's mental wellness and wellbeing.

The day was good, i attended various women's guild events in Nyeri town sub-county, a funds drive in Kiricho Full Gospels church for pastoral support.

Later on, I attended two maombolezi, one in Mukwereini central and the other one in Iriaini ward Mathira. And condoled with the berieved families. May God grant them solitude and strength to overcome this hard times.

Today we laid to rest Major George Benson Kabue Magondu at Karimeno, Mugunda Ward, Kieni Constituency in a tearful service that was led by Fr.Ndirangu of Mugunda Parish.

The Late Major Kabue passed on at the age of 30 years following the military helicopter crash. He was eulogized as loving and selfless by his family members who cared for all without borders.

The military painted an image of a dedicated pilot who worked with the outmost honour & professionalism attracting admiration from his peers as well as his seniors.

His death remains a tragic loss for his family and the country at large. We pray for his wife and the 3 little boys so as they may find favour and grace from God.

I was in the company of Senior Military officers, Hon.Wainaina-Kieni MP, Hon.Kamau-Mugunda ward MCA & Kariithi Wambui-Nominated MCA.
