My message regarding the proposed Ebola quarantine facility in Nanyuki was clear. Our priority as a community should be development initiatives that directly improve the lives of our people.

Today, in solidarity with the people of Nanyuki, Laikipia East, I joined residents in a peaceful demonstration to express our concerns regarding the proposed establishment of an Ebola quarantine facility at Laikipia Air Base.

The demonstration was conducted peacefully and reflected the collective voice of the community on a matter they believe requires wider public participation, transparency, and consultation.

STATEMENT OF SOLIDARITY

Tomorrow, in solidarity with the people of Nanyuki and the entire Laikipia East constituency, I will join residents in the planned peaceful demonstrations to express our collective opposition to the proposed Ebola quarantine facility.

The health, safety, and welfare of our people must remain a top priority. We believe that any decision with significant implications for our community should involve adequate public participation, transparency, and consultation with the residents it directly affects.

I stand with the people of Laikipia East in advocating for their concerns to be heard and respected.

Today, 30th May 2026, in the spirit of economic empowerment and community development, I had the privilege of donating a carwash machine to the Blue Gum Vision Bodaboda Self Help Group in Thingithu Ward.

This initiative is aimed at supporting our hardworking youth and bodaboda operators by creating opportunities for income generation, self-reliance, and sustainable livelihoods.

Empowering local groups with tools and resources is one of the practical ways we can strengthen our economy from the grassroots level.

During the engagement, I also encouraged members to embrace unity, teamwork, and collective responsibility as key pillars for community growth and development. A united community is a stronger community, capable of achieving greater milestones together.

I remain committed to championing initiatives that uplift our people, create opportunities, and improve livelihoods across Laikipia East.

For years, the people of Laikipia East have waited for meaningful change better opportunities for our youth, improved education, stronger empowerment programs, and real job creation.
Many families are struggling, talented young people remain unemployed, and the voices of ordinary wananchi have too often gone unheard.
The time has now come for a new direction.
A direction led by fresh leadership, bold ideas, and visionary minds ready to restore hope and progress across every corner of Laikipia East.
This movement is about action, accountability, and leadership that truly understands the needs of the people.
We cannot continue doing the same things and expect different results.
Our constituency deserves leaders who will stand with the people, fight for development, and create opportunities that uplift every family.
Together, we can rise back stronger, united by one vision a prosperous, empowered, and transformed Laikipia East.

So far, we have successfully supported and facilitated community empowerment projects across Laikipia East, creating opportunities for our youth and promoting self-reliance:
● Sweetwaters-Njoguini Boda Boda Shed
● Male Boda Boda Shed
● Majengo Chini ya Mnazi Car Wash
● Likii Smart Boyz Car Wash
● Nanyuki Makadara Labour Shed
These projects are more than structures; they are centers of opportunity, enterprise, and economic growth for our young people.
Our vision is simple: teach our youth how to fish, not just give them fish.
By creating enabling environments for business, innovation, and hard work, we are building a generation that can stand on its own and contribute meaningfully to our community's development.
The journey continues.
