Nakuru County Youth League is a political enterprise comprising of young people drawn from various districts and locations within the county. The youth population in NAKURU county is 56% to the age of 25yrs. Pre-Primary and Primary age residence is 31%. Among these population only about 10% are employed or engaging in positive production. We have those who are self employed or managing themselves
though Income Generating activities and small enterprises. The remaining 40% are youths out of school inclusive of those who are either attending college or are idle. Mostly a small percentage for those who are still in school or are lucky to be in college drop out due to frustration or better structures to build their self esteem. The youth population is a community that has been neglected since time immemorial. From the previous administration and the current Government. Though much is being done to alleviate the young people from poverty, much still needs to be done. Only about 5% of the youth population in Nakuru County are in positions to air their views and be heard or engage in positive constructive matters. The Nakuru youth league is giving every other young person a chance to become part of the decisions or choices that our governments are making on our behalf.
