Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service is an agency of the Government of Kenya.

This is the official page of the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), a State Corporation established under the Universities Act, 2012. It is established under the Universities Act of 2012 to coordinate the placement of government-sponsored students to various programmes in universities and colleges. Our role is also to disseminate information on available programmes, their costs and the areas of study prioritised by the government; and to develop career guidance programmes for the benefit of students. This way, we aim to maximise the number of students enrolling in tertiary institutions under government sponsorship. Additionally, we collect and retain data relating to university and college placement, and advise the government on matters relating to university and college student placement.

Our team is engaging Form Four students at Subukia Mixed Day and Boarding Senior School, Magomano Senior School, St. Yermo Senior School and Kieni Senior School.

The sessions focus on tertiary education opportunities, course selection and the application process, empowering students to make informed choices about their future.

KUCCPS is conducting a week-long career outreach programme across 15 secondary schools in Subukia Sub-County, Nakuru County. The activity, which started today, targets Form Four students ahead of next year’s university and college applications.

Today, we engaged students at Our Lady of Victories Forest Hill, and Maryland Secondary Schools, providing guidance on career selection and the application process.

The programme will culminate in a Citizen Engagement Forum on Friday, 18th September 2026, at Subukia Social Hall, during which various government services will be provided to citizens.

KUCCPS participated in the International TVET Conference 2026 held in Nairobi to explore how stronger collaboration between industry and TVET institutions can build relevant skills, create opportunities and strengthen global competitiveness.

Bringing together leaders, practitioners and partners, the three-day conference featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, technical sessions, networking opportunities and practical conversations on the future of skills development. Exhibitors showcased talent, innovation and practical solutions emerging from Kenya's TVET institutions.

The conference, which ended on September 11, 2026, attracted 500 delegates from TVET institutions in Africa, international partners and other education stakeholders.

Happening Now: Gusii Education Stakeholders’ Convention

KUCCPS is participating in the Gusii Education Stakeholders’ Convention taking place at Kisii University. Education Cabinet Secretary Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, the Chief Guest, visited the KUCCPS tent and commended the Placement Service for its efforts towards providing career guidance and placement opportunities to students in all parts of Kenya. He was received by a KUCCPS team led by CEO Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome. The forum has been organised to celebrate educational milestones realised in Kisii and Nyamira counties, identify barriers to educational achievement in the counties, and propose strategies for equitable, accessible and quality learning at all levels.

KUCCPS is glad to have participated in the Huduma Mashinani public engagement and service delivery activity held at the ASK Show Kabiruini in Nyeri County on Thursday, organised in collaboration with Nyeri Huduma Centre. Students and parents visited KUCCPS tent and were provided with information and other KUCCPS services. The show was graced by the Nyeri Governor H.E.
