We do this through a joint framework of analysis, evidence-based programming and policy formulation vide collaboration with institutions of research and higher learning globally who provide cutting-edge findings in the realm of peace and security. Partnership for Peace was founded on the strength to consolidate a comprehensive, all inclusive stakeholder peace and security intervention frameworks in Kenya in the run up to the 2007 general elections. During the period, Partnership for Peace (PfP) mounted a strong campaign for peaceful elections dubbed “Chagua Amani, Zuia Noma.” This powerful initiative however did not conceive a clear role of engagement beyond the elections as the mandate was to advocate for peaceful elections. However, after violence broke out following the disputed poll results, PfP was among other civil society networks that pooled their efforts and resources to respond to the humanitarian crisis that engulfed Kenya.
