The Attorney General, Hon. Dorcas Oduor,EGH, today, participated in the 26th Meeting of the Sectoral Council on Legal and Judicial Affairs of the East African Community (EAC), held at the EAC Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.
Chaired by the Attorney General of the United Republic of Tanzania, the meeting brought together Attorneys General and Ministers responsible for Justice from EAC Partner States to deliberate on key legal and judicial matters critical to strengthening regional cooperation and advancing the EAC integration agenda.
The Sectoral Council provided an important forum for Partner States to exchange perspectives, address shared legal and judicial priorities and explore ways of enhancing cooperation in the administration of justice across the region.
The meeting underscored the importance of coordinated legal and judicial frameworks in supporting deeper regional integration, strengthening access to justice and facilitating closer cooperation among EAC Partner States.
The Attorney General was accompanied by the Deputy Solicitor General, Ms. Njeri Wachira, and Mr. Allan Githaiga, Deputy Chief State Counsel.
Kenya remains committed to working with EAC Partner States in strengthening legal and judicial cooperation and advancing a more integrated East African Community.
