ZAMBIA PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION PAYS COURTESY CALL ON ZAMBIA HIGH COMMISSION IN NAIROBI
NAIROBI JUNE 11th, 2026– A delegation of officials from the Parliament of Zambia, led by Mr. Sage C. Samuwika, Acting Deputy Clerk (Administration), paid a courtesy call on the Zambia High Commission in Nairobi as part of their official visit to Kenya.
The delegation was warmly received by His Excellency Mr. Alfred Musemuna, Zambia's High Commissioner to Kenya, who welcomed the officials and commended the Parliament of Zambia for its commitment to institutional learning and capacity building.
The parliamentary officials are in Nairobi on a benchmarking mission aimed at gaining insights into best practices in parliamentary administration, governance systems, and operational efficiency. The visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Parliament of Zambia to strengthen its institutional capacity and enhance service delivery.
During the meeting, discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, including public sector management, administrative reforms, and opportunities for collaboration between Zambian institutions and their Kenyan counterparts.
Mr. Samuwika expressed appreciation to the High Commission for its support and hospitality, noting that the benchmarking exercise would provide valuable lessons that could contribute to improving parliamentary operations in Zambia.
The delegation is expected to engage with various institutions in Kenya during their stay as they continue to explore innovative approaches to parliamentary administration and governance.
