On Friday, our ATP and PTP students took part in the Mental Wellbeing Champions Training Programme, an important initiative aimed at empowering students to support their own wellbeing and that of their peers.
Throughout the session, the students gained valuable insights into recognizing signs of stress, distress, crisis situations and common mental health challenges that students may face. They also explored the importance of creating a supportive environment where seeking help and looking out for one another is encouraged.
A key highlight of the training was the introduction to Psychological First Aid (PFA), which provided students with practical skills to offer initial support to peers experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties and to guide them towards appropriate help when needed.
By equipping our students with these essential skills, we are strengthening peer support networks and fostering a community built on empathy, care and wellbeing. Together, we continue to create an environment where every student feels seen, supported and empowered to thrive.
