The Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Joseph Busiega, represented the Prime Cabinet Secretary, H.E. Dr. Hon Musalia W Mudavadi, at the 2026 Diplomatic Golf Tournament held at VetLab Sports Club.

The tournament brought together Ambassadors, High Commissioners, retired Ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, heads of international organisations, senior government officials, corporate leaders and golf enthusiasts.

The event provided a unique platform for strengthening diplomatic relations, fostering strategic partnerships, and advancing business and people-to-people engagements.

Mr. Busiega underscored the growing value of sports diplomacy in bringing nations and communities together, building friendships and strengthening mutual understanding beyond formal diplomatic engagements.

He also encouraged greater participation of young people in golf and other sporting disciplines, noting that nurturing young talent creates opportunities for personal development, mentorship and meaningful international connections through sport.

Mr. Busiega later presided over the prize-giving ceremony, recognising participants and celebrating the spirit of friendship, partnership and sportsmanship that defined the tournament.

The Principal Administrative Secretary in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Madam Juliana Yiapan, MBS, today joined H.E. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, the family of the late Mzee William ole Ntimama, the Maa community and leaders in Motonyi, Narok County, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his passing and witness the launch of his biography.

According to Madam Yiapan, Mzee Ntimama left behind a powerful legacy of courage, community leadership, dignity and unwavering commitment to advancing the rights and aspirations of the Maa people.

She said Mzee Ntimama’s message remains relevant today: communities must have a voice at the national table, while Maa politics should unite rather than divide Kenyans.

As the community honoured his memory, Madam Yiapan called on the people of Narok and the entire Maa community to carry forward his commitment to education, empowerment and development, while using their political voice responsibly to secure a better future for their people and the nation.

The Principal Administrative Secretary in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary (OPCS), Juliana Yiapan, MBS, has said that corruption is a subtle enemy that creeps into blind spots, flawed processes and everyday shortcuts.

Speaking during the opening of a three-day Corruption Prevention Committee Training for heads of departments in the OPCS, Madam Yiapan called on participants to serve as frontline guardians of integrity within the Office.

The training covers corruption prevention strategies, policy development, reporting mechanisms, complaint handling, monitoring and evaluation of integrity initiatives, preparation of quarterly reports, and the conduct of corruption risk assessments alongside the development of corresponding mitigation plans.

PAS Yiapan said the training would equip heads of departments with essential skills and practical tools, ranging from conducting rigorous corruption risk assessments and identifying and sealing operational loopholes to handling complaints effectively.

She noted that the training marked an important step in the OPCS's institutional journey, going beyond merely fulfilling compliance requirements or performance contracting targets to actively strengthening the moral and operational fabric of the Office.

She called on the Committee to take swift and decisive action to enhance transparency and accountability and build public confidence in OPCS institutions and systems as corruption-free and anchored in integrity.
