Mombasa County and Mayotte have initiated a historic twinning process on the sidelines of the Africa Forward Summit. The Mombasa Investment Corporation (MIC) met with the Mayotte delegation for a strategic roundtable to unlock new regional growth.

This milestone partnership activates major strategic pathways by expanding bilateral trade, fostering cultural exchange, and unlocking European Union funding for collaborative development projects.

The high-level meeting included the President of the Departmental Council of Mayotte, the Mayor of Mamoudzou, the Honorary French Counsellor to Kenya, and key leadership from Mombasa County, MIC, and KNCCI.

Mombasa Investment Corporation successfully convened its Quarter 3 Board Meeting, where the Board discussed the Corporation’s 10-year Investment Promotion Strategy.

The meeting also saw the adoption of key Quarter 3 documents, including reports on activities undertaken during the period, and provided an opportunity to review progress and discuss the way forward for the Corporation’s continued growth and impact.

This reflects our sustained commitment to positioning Mombasa as a premier investment destination while driving inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Mombasa Investment Corporation (MIC), alongside the Department of Transport and Infrastructure (CCO & CECM), participated in the Regional Highway Safety Investor Conference 2026 hosted by KeNHA and NCTTA at PrideInn, Mombasa.

The high-level forum brought together the Cabinet Secretary & Principal Secretary for Transport, the Governor of Mombasa, and regional partners to advance safe and efficient transport systems.

MIC’s Managing Director presented a flagship Trucks Marshalling Yard and Container Depot project to boost cargo efficiency, enhance road safety, and decongest the port.

As a member of EDIC, MIC attended the quarterly board meeting to deliberate on the progress and strategic direction of Mombasa County’s transformational flagship projects.

The consultative meeting included participation from KNCCI, KAM, youth representatives, civil society, and the CECM Culture, Trade and Tourism, enhancing stakeholder alignment.

Mombasa Investment Corporation (MIC) was honored to host the inaugural board meeting of the Health Resource Mobilization Task Force, established by H.E. the Governor of Mombasa.

The meeting brought together the task force members to identify critical gaps and needs within the County’s health sector, paving the way for a more targeted and impactful approach to resource mobilization.

MIC is proud to have been selected as a member of this important task force. The engagement was insightful and fruitful, marking a strong start toward strengthening healthcare delivery for the people of Mombasa.
