THE GREATER KANO CLAN.
NO Kog RACHUONYO.
The Joka Jok were the first Luo group to arrive and settle at Got Ramogi in the 15th century..They were;- The Alego(Seje and Kanyimik), Oywa(Nyakach), Jo Karombo and Owidi (Kisumo), Nyikal(Seme), Chuonyo and Chuanya, Onyango Rabala(Karungu, Kadem, Kabuoch, Nyamwa) and finally NO(Kano).
Chuonyo, Chuanya and NO first settled at Rusinga island from Got Ramogi...NO later moved from the island and crossed R. Miriu where he finally settled at place named KANO
NO married 5 wives, namely:-
1). ACHIENG - she was his first wife (Mikai). She gave birth to NYAGWAL Achieng. (JO KANYAGWAL)
2). ABOR NYA MISIRE - she was the 2nd wife, she gave birth to Rateng... Rateng married Anyango Muganda who later gave birth to KOLA(JO KAKOLA) and OCHOGO.(JO KOCHOGO).
3). APUL - she was the third wife. She gave birth to OLWA( JO KOLWA).
4). MINGILE - she was the fourth wife. she gave birth to ABONYO (JO KABONYO).
5). AWELO - she was the fifth and last wife. She gave birth to OBURA( JO KOBURA).
NYAGWAL ACHIENG, OLWA, ABONYO, OBURA and RATENG were the only sons of NO..
