Solidarity International Trust-Kenya

Solidarity International Trust-Kenya We exist to help those in Kenya afflicted by poverty. Some of our major partners:

1. Agricycle Global: https://agricycleglobal.com/
2.

We do so through the provision of education and by encouraging the formation of self help groups to provide foundations for local economic prosperity. Solidarity International Trust (Formerly known as Solidarity House CBO) was established in 2009 to empower the most vulnerable in rural Kenya where 46% earn less than one dollar per day. It established a table banking program to support those that h

ave long been marginalized, especially women and youth. The groups typically comprise of peasant farmers with high energy and motivation but low education levels, as such they require advice and support to ensure their income generating ideas are sound and that the paperwork required to record their loans is accurately maintained. Solidarity International Trust (SIT) provides trainers to attend each group’s monthly meeting to provide this input. Among some of the most impactful programs that are currently being implemented by SIT are: value addition, contract farming, and local industries. Today, as we celebrate International Workers' Day, we remember and salute particularly the many grassroot women who are determined to turn their common problems into common wealth through investing in entrepreneurship and leadership training. We also can't forget to thank our partners with whom we continue this fight aimed at alleviating poverty in our communities. Thank you KCB for supporting our initiative.
