Turkana boasts of a large number of exceptional attractions which are found in all parts of the County. To give a proper overview and in order to promote these attractions with service providers and investors of the tourism industry and create marketable tour packages for potential visitors, they have been arranged categorized into three circuits, the Southern, Central and Northern Circuits of Tur
kana. THE SOUTHERN CIRCUIT
Major attractions: The major attractions of the Southern Circuit comprise of the Kapedo hot waterfalls and Silali volcano, Kerio River, the Lokori Standing Stones, Suguta Valley and Lake Logipi, the oil fields of Southern Turkana, Lokichar Hills, Turkwel River and Katilu irrigation scheme, and finally South Turkana National Reserve. THE CENTRAL CIRCUIT
Major attractions: The major attractions of the Central Circuit comprise of the capital Lodwar, lower Turkwel River, Turkana Basin Institute and Kerio River Delta, Murua Rith Hills, Lokitaung, Lapurr Range and Mlangoni Gorge, Nariokotome, the northern shores of Lake Turkana with its crocodile breeding places, Ferguson Bay, Kalolokol, Central Island National Park, Lobolo Swamps and Eliye Springs. NORTHERN CIRCUIT
Major attractions: The major attractions of the Northern Circuit comprise of Loima Hills, Lokiriama peace site, Moruanayeche sacred site, the cultural multitude of Kakuma, Songot Mountains, Lokichogio, the Mogila Range, Loitikipi Plains and the Pelekech Range.
