Transforming Early Childhood Education Through Comprehensive ECDE Programmes

Kiambu County ECDE Group of Schools continues to transform early childhood education through a holistic approach that nurtures every child's growth, learning, and development. Through the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum, modern ECDE classrooms, model sanitation facilities, nutritious school feeding programmes, free learning materials, and continuous teacher capacity development, learners are provided with a safe, healthy, inclusive, and stimulating environment where they can thrive.

These strategic investments are improving access to quality early learning while enhancing child health, nutrition, hygiene, creativity, and social development. By fostering strong partnerships between parents, teachers, communities, and stakeholders, Kiambu County is building a solid foundation for lifelong learning and ensuring that every child receives the best possible start in life.

When you feed a child, you secure their future. Today, Kiambu's ECDE centers stand as living proof that the Governor's manifesto was never empty words. Children are healthier. Classrooms are fuller. And parents who once hesitated now walk their children through the gate with confidence. This is devolution working and a promise kept.

Kiambu ECDE Environmental Activities

Environmental activities in Kiambu ECDE centres are helping learners build early awareness and responsibility towards protecting and conserving the environment. Through tree planting, clean-up exercises, waste management, school gardening, water conservation, and environmental clubs, learners are actively engaged in hands-on experiences that promote sustainability.

These environmental activities under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) approach are shaping responsible young citizens who understand the importance of caring for nature and building a cleaner, greener future.
