3. Delivery of the members’ promise
This comes in various forms as the cooperative formation purpose stipulated. For example, if the cooperative is a saving and credits structure, the shareholders and the members expect to i) get loan ii) get dividends for their investments
If this a cooperative formation purpose was based on agriculture for example milk cooperative the shareholders and the members expect
i) to get good prices for their milk produce
ii) earn dividends for their investments
iii) value chain structure to be efficient in terms of products and service delivery
iv) To get market for their produce
4. Innovations
Stop doing ‘business as usual’ changes the way you conduct business in all the departments.

So if in the cooperative the management is facing challenges for example in marketing the farmers produce, they should look for different ways to get better results. Let’s look at another example: if the cooperative data is in manual system it is a challenge get to computerize the data information, this will save a lot of time to concentrate on your core business of serving members or marketing their produce. Another example is to increase products and services to the members.
The cooperative management that is mandated with strategic leadership should be creative enough to turn around the collapsing cooperatives into a situation of an upward trajectory.
