The County Assembly of West Pokot County today passed the West Pokot Supplementary Appropriation Bill, 2026, during the afternoon sitting, marking a significant step towards strengthening service delivery and implementation of priority development programmes across the county.

Later in the evening, H.E. the Governor signed the Bill in the presence of Members of the County Assembly, formally giving legal effect to the legislation for the Financial Year ending 30th June 2026.

The Supplementary Appropriation Act authorizes the withdrawal and application of funds from the County Revenue Fund to support key county programmes, development initiatives, and the provision of essential public services aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents.

The successful passage and assent of the Bill demonstrates the continued commitment of both the County Assembly and the Executive to prudent public financial management, accountability, and efficient utilization of public resources in advancing sustainable development within West Pokot County.
