CECM RACHEL ATAMBA URGES COMMUNITY TO SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES AT IKOLOMANI FUNERAL
Today, CECM for Trade, Industrialization, and Tourism, Ms. Rachel Atamba, represented Governor Fernandes Barasa at the final send-off of the late Wilmina Lidoro in Idakho South Ward, Ikolomani Subcounty.
During her address, Ms. Atamba highlighted several key development achievements under Governor Barasa's administration. She mentioned the ongoing construction of an ablution block and bodaboda sheds at Shisejeri Market, encouraging the community to participate by offering local manpower. She also urged residents to plant tea in preparation for the upcoming Madala Tea Factory, where the Governor is set to lay the foundation stone in December 2024—a project expected to boost local agricultural and economic growth.
Ms. Atamba noted plans to establish a stock ring at Musoli to support the livestock sector in the area. She reminded residents of the importance of timely revenue payments to ensure sustained development and continued access to county services. She concluded her speech by advising locals to form groups, register, and take advantage of the county's microfinance loans, available at a soft interest rate, to empower small businesses and foster community development.
The late Wilmina was eulogized as a dedicated teacher, farmer, and community leader who impacted lives in numerous ways.
Also present were Idakho South Ward Administrator Mr. Dida Mutesa and Shabwali Community Area Administrator Mr. Albert Ndusi, among other senior government officials.
