COMMANDER, FLEET ACTIVITIES YOKOSUKA, Japan Vice Admiral Fred W. Kacher, Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, joins Lt. Andrea L. Sematoske, U.S. 7th Fleet Bandmaster, on stage during a joint practice between the U.S. 7th Fleet Band and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Yokosuka Band at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan's Benny Decker Theater Sunday, December 15, 2024. The Vice Admiral took notes for instrumental breaks scheduled to happen between his reading of Twas The Night Before Christmas. The concert is a holiday tradition in Yokosuka over the last decade with base community members and their guests typically filling the theater's auditorium to standing room only. This year marks the first time the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Yokosuka Band and the Department of Defense Education Activity's Nile C. Kinnick High School Drumline and the school's choir all joined in the celebration.
