UPDATE from Rainier dad:
We don't know yet for sure, she might need other dogs to come up for plasma donation but it would be all the way in Hachioji.
The vet are going to confirm but they said maybe the dogs could be a lower weight than they initially told us (30kg), we would just have to have more dogs come up.
👉 Donor requirements
• Healthy dog
• 66 lbs / 30 kg or more
*slightly lighter is acceptable but might require more dogs in that case.
• 8 years old or less

One of our clients’ beloved dogs, Rainier, is in the ICU tonight with hemolytic anemia (cause unknown, possibly immune-mediated). She just moved to different vet; Daktari veterinary hospital (Minato ward, Shiroganedai).
She has severe blood loss. Her hemoglobin dropped from 6.7 this morning to 5.1 even after a whole-blood transfusion.
Her brother Picasso will be tested tomorrow morning (around 9 a.m.), but other donor dogs may be urgently needed if he isn’t a match.

輸血後の数値が上手くいっていないことから、血漿輸血の選択肢が出てきました。
まだ確定はしていませんが、確定したら専門家のいる八王子市での治療になります。
それに伴い、ドナー犬の条件に変更があります。
👉 供血できる犬の条件
• 健康であること
• 体重30kg
• 7歳以下
・一度も他の犬から輸血を受けたことがないこと

当店のお客様の愛犬レーニアちゃんが、町田市の オールハート動物リファーラルセンター で
原因不明（免疫介在の可能性あり）の溶血性貧血と診断され、今夜ICUに入院しています。
輸血200cc後も溶血が進み、ヘモグロビン値は 6.7→5.1 に低下。
明日朝9時ごろ、兄弟犬ピカソくんの血液型を確認しますが、適合しない場合は追加の供血が必要です。
