東海村姉妹都市交流会館 Tokai Sister City Hall おしゃれな隠れ家風ログハウスに遊びに来ませんか? This is also available to anyone for meeting, gathering, tea time, party or studying. We have English-speaking staff (9 a.m.-4 p.m.).

東海村姉妹都市交流会館は国際交流活動の拠点として外国人との交流イベントのほか、各種団体による会議、パーティーや勉強、ティータイムなどにご利用いただけます。

また、英語対応可能なスタッフがおります(9:00~16:00)ので、困りごとのある外国人の方はお気軽にお立ち寄りください。

Tokai Sister City Hall is a facility for various gatherings and events mainly related to international exchange. Please feel free to come when you have concern.

総吹き抜けの広々としたとても開放的な空間です。団体で使用される場合には、あらかじめ予約をしてください。
Wi-Fi(無線LAN)、プロジェクター、スクリーン、ホワイトボードも
無料でご利用いただけます。
The main hall with open ceiling is a spacious and open area. Booking must be made in advance for a large group. Free Wi-Fi, projector, screen and whiteboard are available in the hall and the meeting room.

大厅的天棚很高,很宽敞,是一个开放空间。如果是团体使用的话,请您事先预约。在大厅和会议室可以免费使用无线网路,电脑(1台),放映机,显示荧光屏和写字板。

🇬🇧 2026年5月30日(土)、姉妹都市交流会館にて、「紅茶とスコーンとイギリスのお話」のイベントを開催しました!
イギリス出身の Tom Gibb さんを講師にお迎えし、日本語と英語を交えながら、イギリスの文化について楽しくご紹介いただきました。
2種類のスコーンと紅茶をご用意して、30名の日本人・外国人の参加者の皆さまがそれぞれのティータイムの過ごし方などを紹介し合いました。
初めて姉妹都市交流会館を訪れてくださった方も多く、どのテーブルも笑顔があふれる素敵なひとときとなりました✨

On May 30, we welcomed 30 participants to a special multicultural event Tea, Scones & Stories from the UK
Our guest speaker, Tom Gibb, shared fascinating insights into British culture and everyday life. Over tea and freshly baked scones, participants enjoyed lively conversations and cultural exchange in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

3. On-demand Share-ride Taxi Service “Ainori-kun”
Ainori-kun is a service for Tokai Village residents, that provides share-ride service from your home/designated location to a destination, at lower fares than commercial taxi service.
Service Details
-The service is available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. on Sat.) except Sun., public holidays and New Year’s holidays.
-Both the departure point and the destination must be within Tokai Village.
-The fare is 300 yen for one trip (one way), and 100 yen for disabled people, people certified for Long-Term Care, preschool children and one caregiver/guardian.

After signing up in the app or LINE, you can make a reservation for a ride starting three days before the day you wish to use the Ainori-kun service.

4. Spring Cleanup Day

*In case of rain, notification will be given through the community radio system at 6:30 a.m., and the cleanup day will be postponed to Sun. 14 Jun.

5. Hello Baby Classes for Pregnant Women
Let’s learn about pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and share your concerns and experiences with us as an expecting mother. You can join either one or both classes.
Date and Content:
(1) Fri. 3 Jul., 9:15 a.m. - noon (Registration starts at 9:00 a.m.)
Lecture by a midwife, a nutrition manager and a dental hygienist. Childcare service will be provided for free.
(2) Sat. 4 Jul., 9:15 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. (Registration starts at 9:00 a.m.)
Talk about babies’ crying / how to bathe a newborn / pregnancy experience for fathers / useful tips for before and after childbirth. Bring an apron for each attendee. No childcare service will be provided.

Cost: 8,000 yen for Smile Tokai members,11,000 yen per person who lives together with a Smile Tokai member, 14,000 yen for non-members

4. TOKAI Rogaining Day
Rogaining is an orienteering sport involving both route planning and navigation between checkpoints using a map. Teams choose which checkpoints to visit within a time limit to maximize their score. All participants will receive participation prizes, and winning teams will be awarded prizes.

5. Fun Strength Training for Dads and Kids
Dates: 4 Saturdays – 6, 13, 20 and 27 Jun.

Eligible people: Fathers and children in pairs who live in Tokai Village. Children must be from preschool (age 4-5) to 2nd grade (age 7-8).

6. Women's Health Class
Join us for a workshop where you can learn about women’s physical and mental health, nutrition, and engage in yoga and stretching exercises.

Eligible people: Women aged 20–54 who live in Tokai Village

3. Collect “Tokai Sodachi” Stickers and Get Farm Products!
“Tokai Sodachi” Stickers can be found on local farm products sold at the following local shops in the village: Tokai Farmers Market “Niji no Naka”, AEON Tokai, Kasumi Funaishikawa, Kasumi Tokai, York Benimaru Tokai and Green Cross Farm Ibaraki. You can participate in a drawing if you buy these local farm products and collect 20 stickers during the campaign. Winners will get local farm products.

Closing of the third drawing: Sun. 20 Dec.
*You can participate as many times as you like.

5. Hello Baby Classes for Pregnant Women
Let’s learn about pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and share your concerns and experiences with us as an expecting mother. You can join either one or both classes.
Date and Content:
(1) Fri. 22 May, 9:15 a.m. - noon (Registration starts at 9:00 a.m.)
Lecture by a midwife, a nutrition manager and a dental hygienist. Childcare service will be provided for free.
(2) Sat. 23 May, 9:15 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. (Registration starts at 9:00 a.m.)
Talk about babies’ crying / how to bathe a newborn / pregnancy experience for fathers / useful tips for before and after childbirth. Bring an apron for each attendee. No childcare service will be provided.

9. Light Vehicle Tax
Light vehicle tax bills will be sent out to owners soon. Please make payment at banks, convenience stores, the Japan Post Bank (in Kanto and Yamanashi pref.) or by smartphone apps designated on the back of the notice by Mon. 1 Jun. The amount will be deducted from your account on Mon. 1 Jun. only for bank transfer registrants.
If you have not received a tax notice, or have received it for a car that was scrapped or changed ownership before 1 Apr. 2026, contact the Tax Section. Regarding reduction and exemption for the disabled, apply to the Tax Section by Mon.1 Jun.

The salon offers a place where parents and children can have a pleasant time playing together with volunteers while having the opportunity to exchange ideas about childcare.
