国際交流基金アジアセンターは、2014年4月に国際交流基金内に新設された特別ユニットで、アジアの中で、人と人とをつなげ、ネットワークをひろげ、アジアの新しい文化をともにつくることを目指しています。
The Asia Center, established within the Japan Foundation in April 2014, is a specialized unit with the goal to connect people, expand networks, and develop cultural programs across Asia.

［Notice］ Regarding the Organizational Restructuring of the Japan Foundation

The Japan Foundation Asia Center has been strengthening ties among Asia through Japanese-Language education, art and culture, sports, and grassroots and intellectual exchanges.
With the organizational restructuring of the Foundation, the Asia Center ends its activities on March 31, 2022. Thank you for your participation and supports for 8 years.

Please note that the newly established NIHONGO Partners Program Department will be responsible for the implementation of the program, while promoting further coordination with other Japanese-language programs of the Japan Foundation.

Coinciding with the start of our fifth medium-term plan (FY2022–FY2026), the Japan Foundation (JF) will undergo reorganization as of April 1, 2022, with the aim of building a better project implementation structure.

【国際交流基金（JF）の組織改編についてのお知らせ 】

国際交流基金アジアセンターは、アジアの人々との共感や共生の心を育むため、2014年4月より、アジアの人々との双方向の交流事業を実施・支援してまいりましたが、組織改編により、本日3月31日をもってアジアセンターとしての活動を終了いたします。8年間にわたり、国際交流基金アジアセンターの活動にご参加・ご関心をいただき、誠にありがとうございました。
なお、日本語パートナーズ事業については、新設される日本語パートナーズ事業部が引き続き、実施いたします。

国際交流基金（JF）は、第5次中期目標期間（令和4年度～令和8年度）のスタートに合わせ、よりよい事業実施体制の構築を目指し、以下の通り令和4年4月1日付で組織改編を行います。

[Project “YOMU”: Journey into the Panay Sugidanun―Celebrating the folk epics of the indigenous group Panay Bukidnun in the present]

The Sugidanun is the folk epic of the indigenous group Panay Bukidnun, which is based in the hinterlands of the Panay Island. The Japan Foundation, Manila launched of the manga, Golden Realms: Inheriting the Panay Sugidanun, co-produced by ThriveArt Projects, Iloilo, under The Japan Foundation Asia Center’s Asian Literature Project, “YOMU”.
The first manga adaptation of the Sugidanun and five related webinar series are now available online.

アジア文芸プロジェクト“YOMU”の一環として、国際交流基金マニラ日本文化センターでは、ThriveArtプロジェクツとの共催でフィリピンのパナイ島に住む先住民族、パナイ・ブキドノン族の民族叙事詩「スギダヌン」の継承に取り組む、「黄金の国：パナイ島スギダヌン叙事詩の継承」プロジェクトを実施しました。
本プロジェクトのために特別に制作されたスギダヌンの漫画と、スギダノンの世界や口承文芸継承の実践などをテーマにした全5回のウェビナー・シリーズをお楽しみいただけます。

[Archived video released] Roundtable discussion among traditional performing arts professionals from six countries (Okinawa×Asia Exchange Project)

Archived video of the roundtable discussion "Bringing Asia together through Intangible Cultural Heritage" held on February 9, 2022 in collaboration with the National Theatre Okinawa, is now available on the Theatre’s official YouTube channel.
Researchers and performers from six Asian countries gathered online to introduce the traditional performing arts of each country listed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage List. The participants also exchanged opinions on the current situation during the COVID-19 pandemic and efforts to pass on the performing arts to the younger generation.

The performing arts featured are; Indian "Kutiyattam" (Sanskrit classic play), “Wayang golek” (puppet theater) from Indonesia, "Mak yong" dance from Malaysia, "Khon" masked theatre from Thailand, "Nha nhac" Vietnamese court music, and "Kumiodori" musical theater from Okinawa.
Videos of traditional performing arts from each country are also available for viewing.

【アーカイブ動画公開】沖縄×アジア 交流プロジェクト　-無形文化遺産でつながるアジアの芸能- ６か国の伝統芸能関係者による座談会

国立劇場おきなわとの共催で2022年2月9日（水）に開催された座談会、「無形文化遺産でつながるアジアの芸能」のアーカイブ映像が、国立劇場おきなわ公式YouTubeチャンネルにて公開されました。
アジア6か国の研究者・実演家をオンラインで結び、ユネスコの無形文化遺産登録一覧表に記載の各国・地域の伝統芸能を紹介。コロナ禍における現状や伝承への取り組みについての意見交換も行いました。取り上げた芸能は、インドのクーリヤッタム（サンスクリット古典劇）、インドネシアのワヤン・ゴレック（人形劇）、タイのコーン（仮面劇）、ベトナムのニャーニャック（宮廷音楽)、マレーシアのマ・ヨン（舞踊劇）、沖縄の組踊（歌舞劇）です。

The International House of Japan (IHJ) has released a webinar “Recovery after Conflict, Disaster, and the Pandemic: A Special Tribute to Tetsu Nakamura, 2003 Ramon Magsaysay Awardee.” In this session, medical anthropologist and practitioner of Mental Health and Psychosocial Services (MHPSS) Ananda Galappatti from Sri Lanka shares his experiences of growing a network of MHPSS practitioners in response to the needs of communities traumatized by war, disaster, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

【アジア・文化創造協働助成】インド太平洋リーダーシリーズ第5回ウェビナー「中村哲氏（2003年マグサイサイ賞受賞）特別トリビュート・セッション～紛争、災害、パンデミック後の復興～メンタルヘルスケアの重要性を考える」公開中！

公益財団法人国際文化会館は「インド太平洋リーダーシリーズ～アジアの知性：ラモン・マグサイサイ賞受賞者の声～」の第5回ウェビナーとして、「紛争、災害、パンデミック後の復興～メンタルヘルスケアの重要性を考える」の配信を開始しました。
長年アフガニスタンで人道支援に取り組み、2003年にマグサイサイ賞を受賞された故中村哲氏を偲ぶ特別セッションです。インドの医療人類学者アナンダ・ガラパッティ氏が、紛争、災害、パンデミックなどによってトラウマを受けたコミュニティに対応するためのシステム「メンタルヘルス・サイコソーシャル・サービス」(MHPSS)についてお話ししています。
