Nojiriko National Park 野尻湖国立公園

野尻湖は、信濃町に位置しナウマンゾウの化石が出土された湖としても有名です。黒姫山と斑尾山に挟まれた標高654mの高原にあるこの湖は黒姫山の火山活動により堰止められてできた堰止め湖であり、国立公園の特別地域として指定されており優れた湖水景観が維持されています。

野尻湖と湖を包む大自然には多種の生命が生存しており、季節の移り変わりとともに進歩する優雅で美しい生態系が存在しています。野尻湖の自然を愛し、永遠と美しい大自然を守るためにも私たちは野尻湖の自然を理解していく必要があります。

The ever changing spectacle throughout the year and seasons is one of serene beauty. In order for humanity to preserve this natural treasure, we must deepen our relationship and understanding of nature. Nojiri Lake, well known for the excavation grounds of mammoth fossils, is a national park located in Shinano Village in Northern Shinshu. Located at 654 meters altitude, the lake was created as a result of volcanic activity caused by Mt. There are 4 major mountains that surround the lake: Mr. Kurohime, Mt. Myoko, Mt. Madarao, and Mt. Iiyama.
