Ainu ― Japan’s Indigenous People

When you visit Hokkaido, you will find not only magnificent nature but also another special attraction. It is the culture of the Ainu. The Ainu are the indigenous people of northern Japan who have lived in harmony with nature for generations. The worldview of the Ainu, which respects the blessings of forests, seas, and rivers, can still be felt in many parts of Hokkaido today. In fact, many place names in Hokkaido come from the Ainu language, which reflects the belief that all things in nature have spirits.

The Ainu people have always valued living in balance with nature. Their traditional clothing, such as attus, is made from woven tree bark fibers, and the garment called luunpe is decorated with delicate embroidery. Both have been passed down through generations with different regional variation. These patterns represent wishes for protection from evil and for prosperity. Tools used for hunting and fishing, such as bows and dugout canoes, also show a deep connection with and respect for nature.

The Ainu people sustained themselves through trade in the past, but their trading rights were taken away by the ethnic Japanese. As a result, the Battle of Shakushain occurred in the 17th century, which ended in defeat for the Ainu. Later, during the Meiji era (the late 19th century), assimilation policies robbed the Ainu of their land, language, and culture. Although the Ainu faced a long period of discrimination, they struggled to protect and pass on their culture. In 2008, the Japanese government officially recognized the Ainu as an indigenous people. This action led to greater understanding and a change in public awareness. Since then, efforts to revive Ainu culture have been accepted.

Today, younger generations are relearning traditional dances and language, and Ainu culture is being introduced across Japan through films and books. These efforts are helping to deepen understanding and widen interest in Ainu culture. One of the most famous places to experience Ainu culture in Hokkaido is Upopoy (National Ainu Museum and Park) in Shiraoi Town, in the southern part of Hokkaido. Visitors can learn through all five senses by watching traditional dances and storytelling, joining craft workshops, and viewing museum exhibitions. The on-site café serves traditional dishes made with natural ingredients from Hokkaido, such as salmon and wild plants, allowing visitors to experience the Ainu spirit through food. It is truly a hands-on cultural facility where you can "see, hear, and taste" Ainu culture.

For those who want to experience Ainu culture right in Sapporo, Sapporo Pirka Kotan is recommended. Visitors can enjoy hands-on activities such as wood carving and embroidery, which are closely connected to daily life. Making items like coasters or straps with Ainu patterns is especially popular with tourists.

Upopoy is about 65 minutes from Sapporo Station by Japan Railway (JR) limited express, and just a 10-minute walk from Shiraoi Station. From New Chitose Airport, it takes about 40 minutes by JR.
Sapporo Pirka Kotan can be reached in about 60 minutes by bus from JR Sapporo Station.

日本の先住民族　アイヌ

本記事は北海道と札幌大学との包括連携協定に基づく国際交流促進の取り組みとして、札幌大学英語専攻・通訳翻訳ゼミの学生が取材して作成した記事です。学生が、海外の人に知ってほしいと思う北海道の魅力を紹介します。

北海道を訪れると、雄大な自然だけでなく、もうひとつの魅力に出会えます。それは、自然を敬いながら生きてきた先住民族・アイヌの文化です。森や海、川の恵みに感謝しながら暮らしてきたアイヌ民族の世界観は、今も北海道のあちこちに息づいています。

アイヌ民族は、自然との調和を何よりも大切にしてきました。木の皮の繊維を織って作る衣「アットゥㇱ」や、繊細な刺繍を施した「ルウンペ」など、伝統の衣服には地域ごとに特色があり受け継がれています。その模様は魔除けや豊かさへの願いを込めたものともいわれます。また、狩りや漁に使う弓矢や丸木舟などにも、自然への敬意が表れています。北海道の地名にも多く残るアイヌ語は、すべての自然に魂が宿るという信仰を反映しています。

元は豊かな交易の民だったアイヌ民族ですが、和人によって交易の権利を奪われました。そのため、17世紀に「シャクシャインの戦い」が起こり敗北して、明治時代の同化政策によって土地や言葉、文化を奪われました。長い差別の時代が続きましたが、アイヌ民族は文化を守り受け継いできました。2008年には日本政府がアイヌ民族を正式に先住民族として認めたことで、日本社会での見方が変わり理解が進んだため、文化復興の動きが広がっています。若い世代が踊りや言葉を学び直したり、映画や書籍でアイヌ文化が紹介したりと、理解を深める輪が広がっています。

アイヌ文化を体感できる代表的な場所が、白老町にある民族共生象徴空間「ウポポイ」です。博物館の展示だけでなく、伝統舞踊や語りの公演、工芸体験などを通して、五感で文化を学ぶことができます。敷地内のカフェでは、鮭や山菜など北海道の自然の恵みを使った伝統料理を楽しめ、食を通してアイヌ民族の精神を感じられます。まさに「見る・聞く・味わう」ことができる体験型の施設です。

都市の中でもアイヌ文化に触れたい方には、札幌市の「サッポロピㇼカコタン」がおすすめです。木彫りや刺繍など、生活に根ざした文化を身近に体験できます。アイヌ文様が入ったコースターやストラップを作ることもでき、観光客にも人気のスポットです。

ウポポイへのアクセスは、札幌駅からJR特急で約65分、白老駅から徒歩約10分です。新千歳空港からはJRで約40分で着きます。サッポロピㇼカコタンへは、JR札幌駅からバス利用で60分で着きます。

Shakotan Blue Drive🚙🍴♨

Shakotan is a town on the Sea of Japan in western Hokkaido, famed for its crystal-clear blue waters known as “Shakotan Blue.” The name began spreading around the year 2000, when many visitors were struck by the sea’s exceptional clarity and color and started calling it “Shakotan Blue.” Word of mouth spread quickly, and the name has since become firmly established. In recent years, more international travelers have been exploring Hokkaido by rental car, and the scenic “Shakotan Blue Line,” which runs along the coast, has become one of the most popular driving routes in the region.

The Shakotan Blue Line stretches from the town of Yoichi to Cape Kamuy, following the coastline for about 40 kilometers. Drivers can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Japan, and the route is dotted with seafood restaurants, hot springs, and breathtaking viewpoints. The road itself is not entirely flat―its curves and gentle hills along the shoreline add to the fun of the drive. Along the way, visitors should stop at the many local eateries serving fresh seafood from the Shakotan coast. Sea urchin, hokke, y ellowtail, squid, abalone, and whelks are just a few of the delicacies caught daily. In particular, the summer season (June to August) draws many travelers seeking Shakotan’s famous nama-uni don (fresh sea urchin rice bowl). Enjoying fresh sea urchin while gazing out at the ocean is an unforgettable luxury unique to this area.

No visit to Shakotan is complete without seeing Cape Kamuy. Walking along the trail on the dramatic cliffs, you can look down to see an unbelievably clear and vibrant blue sea. This is the very essence of “Shakotan Blue,” glowing with a mystical brilliance on sunny days. Standing at the cape’s tip, with only the sound of wind and waves around you, you can feel the raw power and sacredness of nature. Near the entrance to Cape Kamuy stands Kamuy Shrine. Once a place of worship for the Ainu people, it continues to be an important sanctuary for local fishermen who pray for safety at sea and good catches. From the shrine grounds, you can enjoy sweeping views of the cape and the ocean, feeling the history and culture of Shakotan. According to legend, this area was home to a tragic tale in which an Ainu maiden named Charenka, grieving for her lost lover, threw herself into the sea. Her tears are said to have created the stunning blue color of the waters. Visiting Kamuy Shrine allows you to experience both the natural beauty and the stories that have shaped the region.

Another popular activity in recent years is the Kamuy Cruise (May to September). From the sea, you can view the cliffs and Cape Kamuy up close, and the Shakotan Blue seen from a boat is extraordinary. The cruise offers sights that cannot be seen from land, such as unique rock formations, caves, and seabirds. On clear days, the sea is so transparent that you can see all the way to the bottom. A guide introduces local history and legends along the way, making it an enriching experience for visitors. The vivid blue sea and green cliffs look spectacular in photographs, making the cruise especially appealing for photography lovers.

To round off your trip, spend some relaxing time at a hot spring in Shakotan (open from April to November). Soaking in the open-air bath with a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan will melt away the fatigue from your drive, and at sunset, you can enjoy a magical scene as the sea turns orange―an enchanting sight quite different from the famous Shakotan Blue.

The charm of the Shakotan Blue Line lies not only in its scenic drive but also in its harmony of natural beauty, local cuisine, legends, and culture. It leaves a deep impression on everyone who visits. For international travelers, it has become a precious place to experience Hokkaido’s iconic blue ocean. 積丹ブルー🚙🍴♨

積丹町は北海道西部、日本海に面した町で、「積丹ブルー」と呼ばれる透き通った青い海で知られています。この呼び名が広まり始めたのは2000年ごろで、訪れた人々が海の驚くほどの透明度と美しい色合いに感動し、「積丹ブルー」と呼ぶようになったのがきっかけです。口コミで評判が広がり、現在ではすっかり定着した名称となりました。近年では、レンタカーで北海道を巡る外国人旅行者も増え、海岸線を走る絶景ルート「積丹ブルーライン」は、道内でも特に人気のドライブルートのひとつとなっています。

積丹ブルーラインは、余市町から神威岬まで約40キロメートルにわたり、海岸線に沿って続いています。ドライバーは日本海の雄大な景色を楽しむことができ、道沿いには海鮮料理店、温泉、そして息をのむような展望スポットが点在しています。道は完全に平坦というわけではなく、海沿いのカーブや緩やかな起伏が、ドライブの楽しさを一層引き立ててくれます。途中には、積丹沖で獲れた新鮮な海の幸を提供する地元の食事処が数多くあり、ウニ、ホッケ、ブリ、イカ、アワビ、ツブ貝などが日々水揚げされています。特に6月から8月の夏季には、積丹名物の生ウニ丼を求めて多くの旅行者が訪れます。海を眺めながら味わう新鮮なウニは、この地ならではの忘れられない贅沢です。

旅の締めくくりには、積丹の温泉（4~11月営業）でゆったりと過ごすのがおすすめです。日本海を一望できる露天風呂に浸かれば、ドライブの疲れもすっかり癒されるでしょう。夕暮れ時には、海がオレンジ色に染まる幻想的な光景が広がり、有名な積丹ブルーとはまた違った魅力を楽しめます。

Naitai Highland Farm — Infinite Inspiration, a Place to Feel the Land of Hokkaido🐮🍦

This time, we present Naitai Highland Farm, located in Kamishihoro Town in the Tokachi region of Hokkaido, a place where vast grasslands, endless skies, and grazing cattle create a breathtaking landscape.

1. Breathtaking Scenery
From the highlands at about 800 meters above sea level, visitors can see across the Tokachi Plain to distant mountains. In summer, green hills roll into the distance, while shifting light transforms the landscape at dawn and dusk. Many visitors describe it as a place that captures the immense scale of Hokkaido.

2. Features of Japan’s Largest Grassland
Naitai Highland Ranch is Japan’s largest public grassland, covering about 17 square kilometers—roughly the size of 358 Tokyo Domes. During the summer, around 2,000 cattle graze freely across the land. In the tranquil atmosphere, where only the sound of the wind and the lowing of cows can be heard, visitors can experience a sense of peace that cannot be found in the city.

3. History of Naitai Highland Farm
The farm was established in 1972 by the national government. Local residents gradually developed the mountainside into what it is today. Now it stands as a symbol of the region and a place that conveys the powerful nature of Hokkaido’s landscape.

4. Perfect for Driving and Touring
The road leading to the farm is wide, and spectacular views appear around every curve. Many visitors come by car or motorcycle, stopping along the way to take photos. The journey itself is part of the experience.

5. Naitai Terrace
At the heart of the viewing area is the Naitai Terrace café, where large windows frame panoramic views. Visitors can sample local specialties, including soft-serve ice cream made with fresh milk and hamburgers featuring Naitai wagyu beef. The terrace also houses a souvenir shop offering items such as Kamishihoro fresh milk and Naitai black beer.

6. Best Season and Access
The most popular season is summer (June to September), when blue skies contrast beautifully with green hills. By car: approximately one hour from Obihiro City.

7. Personal Impression
When I visited, the endless green fields and refreshing breeze left a deep impression on me. Standing on the terrace and gazing across the farm, I marveled at how far the horizon stretched. It was a view I’ll never forget. Lying on the grass with my eyes closed, I felt so comfortable that I wished I could stay forever.

Naitai Highland Farm is a place that makes you want to visit again and again. You really should experience it for yourself.

ナイタイ高原牧場 ― 感動は無限大、北海道の大地を感じる場所🐮🍦

今回は、広大な草原と空、そして牛たちがゆったり過ごす風景が魅力の、北海道・十勝地方、上士幌町にあるナイタイ高原牧場を紹介します。

1. 絶景体験の魅力
標高約800メートルの高原からは、十勝平野（とかちへいや）や遠くの山々が見渡せます。夏には緑の丘が風に揺れ、朝や夕方は光の色で景色が変わります。訪れた人の多くが「北海道のスケールを体で感じられる場所」と話すほどです。

2. 日本最大の牧地の特徴
ナイタイ高原牧場は日本一広い公共牧場で、約17平方キロメートル（東京ドーム約358個分）の広さを誇ります。夏の間は約2,000頭の牛が放牧され、自然の中でのびのびと過ごす様子が見られます。風の音と牛の鳴き声だけが響く静かな時間は、都会では味わえない癒しを感じさせます。

3. ナイタイ高原牧場の歴史

一番人気の季節は夏（6月〜9月）。青空と緑のコントラストが最も美しい時期です。
車の場合、帯広市内から約1時間。

7．実際に訪れた感想
私も実際に訪れて、一面に広がる緑と風の心地よさに感動しました。
テラスから抜けて牧場を一望すると、この地平線はどこまで続いているのだろうと思うほど壮大で、一生忘れられない景色になりました。また、芝生の上に寝転がって目を閉じると、一生ここにいたいと思うほど心地よかったです。
ナイタイ高原牧場は何度でも行きたくなる場所です。ぜひ一度訪れてみてください。

Otaru💡♫

Otaru is a port town in Hokkaido, located about 40 km northwest of Sapporo, and it faces the Sea of Japan. It is a historic town that prospered by trade and fishing. Now, Otaru is known as a tourist attraction such as a beautiful canal, old buildings, glass art factories and music box shops.

From around 1900 to 1930, Otaru developed as the logistics and economic center of Hokkaido.

As a port town, fishing and trade were the main activities, and oil was needed for glass lamps for lighting during the night. Furthermore, herring fishing became especially popular, and glass floats were needed for herring nets, leading to an increased demand for practical glass products. As a result, glass workshop artists and artisans gathered there, and their skills improved. From the 1920s to the 1980s, the Otaru Canal and retro townscape attracted attention, and demand for souvenirs and decorative items for tourists increased, leading to a shift from practical glass to art crafts.

Since 1980, the area has become a tourist destination, and glass-making experiences and glass as art have been gaining attention. As a result, visitors can create a variety of glasswork. With glassblowing, they can make tumblers, bowls, glasses, etc. or they can create their own one-of-a-kind memories with glass beads and sandblasting. Of course, coming as a family or couple and making matching items would also make for a special memory.

Glasswork is also often used as decoration for music boxes. Just like glass shaving, visitors can make music boxes themselves. There are stores where they can choose a music box base and decorative accessories on the spot to create their own music box. They can also choose from a wide variety of songs, including Ghibli songs, J-POP, and Disney songs, which are unique to Japan. Glasswork and music boxes are typical Otaru souvenirs.

Summary
Otaru has been developed as a port town. Herring fishing and logistics supported Otaru and then glass workshops were born. Companies opened music box shops in Otaru. Because music boxes matched the town’s atmosphere, they helped establish Otaru’s image as a town of music boxes. Now, the tradition has become a tourist attraction. Visitors can make blown glasses, glass beads and music boxes. The shining glass used to make the music box and the wonderful music tones can leave you with a good memory. It will be a special experience whether you visit with family, friends or a partner. Visitors can take home memories of their trip by strolling along the Otaru Canal and through the retro streets, and choosing handmade items and crafts as souvenirs. We recommend experiential tourism that allows you to experience Otaru’s history and culture.

小樽観光💡♫

小樽
北海道にある港町です。北海道の中でも、札幌から北西に約４０kmほどの場所にあります。
小樽は日本海に面していて、昔から貿易や漁業で栄えた歴史のある街です。今では、美しい運河や古い倉庫の建物、そしてガラス工芸やオルゴールで有名な観光地として知られています。

小樽市は１９００年頃から１９３０年頃にかけて、北海道の物流・経済の中心地として発展しました。

港町なので漁業や貿易中心の活動で、夜間漁の照明に石油ランプが必要だったり、特にニシン漁が盛んになったためニシン漁の網に必要なガラスの浮き玉が必要になったりして実用的なガラス製品の需要が高まりました。その結果ガラス工房や職人が集まり技術が向上しました。１９２０年～１９８０年代頃、小樽運河やレトロな街並みが注目され、観光客向けのお土産・装飾品の需要が増えたため実用ガラスから芸術品・工芸品(装飾ガラス)への転換が進みました。

１９８０年以降、観光地化とともに手作りガラス体験や美術品としてのガラスが注目されています。今日、小樽のガラス工房を訪れると様々なガラス細工を製作することができます。吹きガラスではタンブラー、ボウル、グラスなどを製作することができたり、とんぼ玉、サンドブラストなど世界に一つだけの自分だけの思い出を製作することができたりします。もちろん家族やカップルなどで来てお揃いのものを製作するのも特別な思い出になりますね。

ガラス細工はオルゴールの装飾としてもよく使われています。そしてガラス細工同様、オルゴールの製作もできます。オルゴールベースや曲目、飾り付ける小物自身でその場で選び自分だけのオルゴールを作ることができる店舗があります。そして曲目も日本ならではのジブリソングやJ-POP、ディズニーソングまで様々な曲から選択することができます。ガラス細工とオルゴールは小樽土産の代表格です。

まとめ
小樽は港町として発展し、ニシン漁や物流を支えた歴史からガラス工房が生まれ、企業がオルゴール屋さんを小樽で開いて小樽のイメージと合致させたことで小樽＝オルゴールというイメージが定着しました。現在ではその伝統が観光の魅力となり、吹きガラスやとんぼ玉、オルゴール制作など、自分だけの作品づくりを楽しむことができます。ガラスの輝きやオルゴールの音色は旅の思い出にぴったりで、家族や友人、カップルで訪れても特別な体験になるはずです。小樽運河やレトロな街並みを散策しながら、手作りの品や工芸品をお土産に選べば、旅の余韻を持ち帰ることもできます。小樽の歴史と文化を感じながら楽しめる体験型観光をぜひおすすめします。

Under the comprehensive partnership agreement between Hokkaido Government and Sapporo University, they worked on publishing the article as part of an international initiative. The students introduce the charms of Hokkaido that they hope people overseas will come to know.

In Japan, there is a culture of getting a goshuin when you visit a shrine or a temple. A goshuin is a stamp with writing on it. It has the name of the shrine or temple, the day you visited, and the name of the god or Buddha there. Long ago, people wrote Buddhist prayers when they visited temples. After that, they received a goshuin as proof of their visit. As time passed, the way people pray changed. Now, goshuin are loved as a memory of visiting a shrine or temple. This culture is special to Japan and helps people feel a connection with the place they visit. Here, we will introduce two recommended shrines in Hokkaido.

The first one is Sapporo Suwa Shrine. This shrine is colorful and very cute. It has special fortune slips that you can only get there. Many people like to take photos because it looks good on social media. The second one is Obihiro Shrine. This shrine is famous for the Shimaenaga, a small bird that lives only in Hokkaido. The bird is round and white like snow. In winter, it looks very fluffy, so people call it the “snow fairy.” This shrine is known as a special place for Shimaenaga. Both shrines have their own style. When you visit them, you can feel the nature, history, and beliefs of Hokkaido.

Sapporo Suwa Shrine (Sapporo City)
Sapporo Suwa Shrine is about a 15-minute walk from Sapporo railway station. The gods here protect homes and work. People also pray for good relationships and happy marriages. The goshuin here are seasonal goshuin, which are special to Hokkaido. Depending on the season, the goshuin design may have snow, flowers, or festivals. Each season has a different goshuin design, so you can enjoy something new every time you visit. The letters are written very carefully, and each goshuin is made with care. There are also stamps with goshuin designs related to Suwa Shrine.

Obihiro Shrine (Obihiro City)
Obihiro Shrine is about a 30-minute walk from Obihiro railway station, or 10 minutes by taxi. The shrine has a large area and a lot of nature. You can feel the rich land of Hokkaido. The gods here protect the land of Hokkaido.
People pray for good harvests, success in business, and good health. The Shimaenaga goshuin is very special. It has a picture of the round, white Shimaenaga, the "snow fairy" of Hokkaido, and it is perfect as a memory of your trip. This goshuin is highly recommended for people who love Shimaenaga or want a very Hokkaido-like goshuin.

My Thoughts
Sapporo Suwa Shrine had many places where I wanted to take photos. It is full of spots that look great on social media. I enjoyed both taking pictures and praying. If you are looking for a cute shrine in Sapporo or want to visit photo-friendly places, I really recommend this shrine. Obihiro Shrine is also very attractive. You can enjoy seasonal goshuin, and if you are lucky, you may see a Shimaenaga on the shrine grounds. It is a calm place where you can feel both nature and the peaceful feeling of a shrine. Both shrines are great places to start a shrine trip in Hokkaido.

北海道の御朱印にふれる旅⛩

本記事は北海道と札幌大学との包括連携協定に基づく国際交流促進の取り組みとして、札幌大学英語専攻・通訳翻訳ゼミの学生が取材して作成した記事です。学生が、海外の人に知ってほしいと思う北海道の魅力を紹介します。

日本には神社やお寺をお参りした証として「御朱印」をもらう文化があります。御朱印は神社やお寺の名前、参拝日、神社やお寺で祀られている神仏の名前が書かれています。昔は参拝した証として参拝者がお経を書き写し、書いたお経と引き換えに御朱印をもらっていました。時代が進むにつれて参拝方法が変わり「参拝の記念」として親しまれています。訪れた神社やお寺とのご緑をいただく日本ならではの特別な文化です。

ここでは、北海道で特におすすめの二つの神社を紹介します。札幌諏訪神社は諏訪神社限定のおみくじやSNS映えしそうな色彩豊かな神殿が特徴です。帯廣神社は、北海道にだけ生息する真っ白で丸い体が特徴の小さな野鳥で、「雪の妖精」と呼ばれているシマエナガの聖地になっているのが特徴です。どの神社も独自の雰囲気があり、北海道の自然や歴史、信仰を深く感じることができます。

札幌諏訪神社（札幌市）
札幌駅から徒歩十五分ほどの場所にあります。家や仕事を守る神様が祀られています。緑結びや夫婦円満のご利益があります。御朱印は、北海道ならではの季節に合う御朱印です。時期によって、雪景色・花・お祭りなど、北海道らしいモチーフが入っています。季節ごとに違うデザインが並び、何度訪れても毎回新鮮な気持ちになれる魅力があります｡また、丁寧に書き上げられる文字は一枚一枚心が込もっており、諏訪神社とゆかりのあるモチーフが押されています。

帯廣神社（帯広市）
帯広駅からおよそ徒歩３０分、タクシーで１０分ほど。広い敷地と豊かな自然があり、北海道らしい雰囲気を楽しめます。北海道の大地を守る神様で、豊作、商売繁盛、病気平癒など多くのご利益があります。 シマエナガの御朱印は、北海道でしか出会えない「雪の妖精」をモチーフにした特別な一枚です。まんまるで真っ白なシマエナガの姿が描かれているのが魅力的で、旅の記念にぴったりです。シマエナガが好きな方、北海道らしい御朱印を集めたい方には特におすすめの御朱印です。

感想
札幌諏訪神社は思わず写真を撮りたくなるスポットがたくさんありました。SNS映えするロケーションがそろっています。写真を撮る時間も、ゆっくり参拝する時間もどちらも楽しめました。札幌で可愛い神社を探している方や、SNS映えするスポットを巡りたい方には、ぜひ一度訪れてほしい素敵な神社です。帯廣神社は季節ごとの御朱印や、運がよければ境内でシマエナガに出会えるという話もあり、北海道らしい自然と神社の穏やかさを一度に味わえる場所としてとても魅力的に感じます。北海道の神社めぐりの第一歩としてどちらもおすすめしたい場所です。

🌏北海道の情報や国際交流事業などについて紹介する「赤れんが通信」は北海道庁の国際交流員が執筆しています。「赤れんが通信」令和7年12月号を発行しました。

【JICA海外協力隊🌏による表敬訪問】

12月４日、JICA海外協力隊として派遣される14名の皆さんから出発のご報告をいただきました。

JICA海外協力隊🤝は、現地の人々と共にその国や地域の課題解決に取り組むため、開発途上国などの要請に基づき派遣されており、今年で60周年🎊を迎えました。

今回訪問された皆さんは、派遣地域の課題解決に向け、ここ北海道からアジア、アフリカ、オセアニア、中南米、南米地域の12カ国に派遣される予定です。🛫

濱坂副知事から「これから赴任される国で、それぞれの地域の発展✨に向けてご尽力いただくとともに、北海道の良さを伝えていただき、各国で活躍されることをお祈り申し上げます。」とエールを送りました。

任務地は、風土や気候、生活環境が大きく変わるので、皆さんが健康で活躍いただけるよう応援しています！🙌

【ジャパン・ソサエティー（米国）🗽による本道の魅力✨の発信】

道では、全米最大の日米親善団体であるジャパン・ソサエティー（理事長は、北海道応援団会議スマイルアンバサダーであるジョシュア・ウォーカー氏）と連携して、今年１月にはＮＹ市内でＧＸセミナーや北海道プロモーションを実施するなど北海道の魅力✨の発信に取り組んでいます。
