LOOK: The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Department of Trade and Industry - Small Business Corporation (DTI-SB Corp) formally signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the enhanced loan facilitation program for our fellow OFWs, this May 18 at the DTI Filinvest Building in Makati City.
This agreement aims to expand the access of OFWs to livelihood programs such as the OFW Negosyo Fund, through better referral procedures at Regional Offices, Negosyo Centers, Provincial Help Desks, and Reintegration Centers.
Key steps also include strengthening the capacity of regional offices to make service delivery and assistance more efficient for OFWs who want to start or grow their own livelihood.
OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne "PY" Caunan led the opening remarks, while DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. gave a message of support. Cacdac and DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque for this kind of partnership.
