【Cambodia-Japan🇰🇭 Roundtable】

日本アセアンセンターは6月9日、カンボジア開発評議会（CDC）、日本メコン地域経済委員会、日本貿易振興機構（ジェトロ）との共催により、スン・チャントール副首相と日本企業の経営幹部による少人数ラウンドテーブルを開催しました。非公開・完全招待制のもと、カンボジアの投資環境や今後の日・カンボジア経済協力の可能性について、率直な意見交換が行われました。政策立案を担う政府関係者と民間企業のリーダーが直接対話することで、相互理解を深める貴重な機会となりました。

The ASEAN-Japan Centre co-organized a small, invitation-only roundtable on June 9 together with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the Japan-Mekong Regional Economic Committee, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

The discussion brought together H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol and senior executives from selected Japanese companies for a candid exchange of views on Cambodia’s investment environment and the future of Japan–Cambodia economic cooperation.

The roundtable provided a valuable opportunity to deepen mutual understanding through direct dialogue between government officials and private-sector leaders.

日本アセアンセンターの平林事務総長は、6月11日に帝国ホテル東京で開催されたアンワル・イブラヒム マレーシア首相とのラウンドテーブルに参加しました。平林事務総長は、ASEANと日本の人々、機会、そして課題解決をつなぐ「対話と協力のハブ」としての日本アセアンセンターの役割と強みについて紹介しました。

SG Hirabayashi participated in a roundtable discussion with H.E. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo on June 11. During the discussion, SG Hirabayashi highlighted the ASEAN-Japan Centre’s strength as a convener for the ASEAN–Japan partnership, connecting people, opportunities, and solutions across ASEAN and Japan.

🚨 Applications Now Open — ImpactLink 2026 🚨

Are you a woman entrepreneur building a business with social or environmental impact in ASEAN or Japan?

🌏 The ASEAN-Japan Centre is pleased to invite applications for ImpactLink 2026: Strengthening Impact and Readiness to Access New Markets for Women-led Social Enterprises in ASEAN, a regional capacity-building and coaching programme for women-led social enterprises and impact-driven businesses across ASEAN Member States and Japan.

ImpactLink 2026 is a six-month regional programme comprising two phases. Phase 1 features online workshops on impact articulation, business readiness, fundraising preparedness, and ASEAN–Japan market opportunities. Phase 2 provides tailored coaching and mentoring for selected enterprises to strengthen investment readiness and growth strategies. The programme will conclude with an Online Pitching & Showcase Event, providing participants with an opportunity to present their enterprises to ecosystem partners and stakeholders across ASEAN and Japan.

Selected participants will gain access to:
✅ Online capacity-building workshops with regional experts
✅ Tailored coaching for selected enterprises
✅ Fundraising and investment readiness support
✅ Impact communication and storytelling guidance
✅ Japan market insights and cross-border opportunities
✅ Connections with ASEAN–Japan ecosystem partners and stakeholders

We recently welcomed a delegation of seven representatives from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Mr. Panidone Pachimsawat, Acting Director-General of the Department of Information and MFA Deputy Spokesperson.

During the visit, the AJC shared its communication and public relations initiatives promoting ASEAN-Japan relations, discussed key challenges, and exchanged views on future approaches to raising awareness of ASEAN.

先日、タイ外務省 情報局長代行兼副報道官のパニドン・パチムサワット氏をはじめ、7名の皆様が日本アセアンセンターを訪問されました。

訪問では、センターが推進する日ASEAN間のコミュニケーション・広報活動の取り組みや課題を共有するとともに、ASEANへの認知向上に向けた今後の方向性について意見交換を行いました。
