**IMPORTANT!! YOKOTA HOSPITAL MAY CLOSURE DATES**

The MDG posted this just this morning (Saturday, 2 May.)

There are three closure dates for May. The first is Thursday, 21 May (the usual 3rd Thursday Training Day), the second is Friday, 22 May (PACAF Family Pass Day), and the third is Monday, 25 May (Memorial Day federal holiday). Please note this constitutes a full five-day(!!) closure for the MDG over the Memorial Day weekend.

**IMPORTANT!! YOKOTA HOSPITAL APRIL CLOSURE DATES**

The MDG posted this last week (Wednesday, 1 April.) Our apologies for the late sharing of the post.

There are two closure dates for April. The first is Thursday, 16 April (the usual 3rd Thursday Training Day) and the second is Friday, 24 April (Wing Goal Day).

Of special note is the temporary closure of the UC main entrance from 15-23 April. Check out the temporary alternate routes for access while the construction is ongoing.

**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - THE YMRA MEETING FOR THIS SATURDAY, 4 APRIL, IS CANCELLED!!**

Apologies for the short notice, and NO, this is NOT an April Fool's joke.

Due to this weekend’s Easter "holiday" and the annual Spring Sakura Festival on the East side (somewhat limiting base access and traffic), the YMRA monthly breakfast is cancelled. We will resume normal YMRA breakfast operations on Saturday, 2 May 2026. Details are as follows:

**IMPORTANT!! YOKOTA HOSPITAL MARCH CLOSURE DATES**

The MDG posted this yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, 3 March.)

First, be aware the Wing exercise from 8-20 March has changed the MDG's normal monthly schedule. Also, during that timeframe, even if the MDG is open, as they caution, some services may have longer than normal wait times.

All that said, the closure dates are Saturday,14 March thru Monday, 16 March (Wing Exercise) and Friday, 27 March (Wing Goal Day).

All the above is a lot to digest. Exercise extra caution when marking your calendars!

The MDG posted this early yesterday morning (Wednesday, 21 January) - really early this month!

Just two closure dates In February. But, please note, the usual 3rd Thursday Training Day is shifted to the 4th Thursday, 25 February. The other closure date is 16 February (Presidents Day federal holiday).

**IMPORTANT!! YOKOTA HOSPITAL JANUARY CLOSURE DATES**

The MDG posted this early yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, 30 December). Just the three expected closure dates, although the MDG will be open only a half-day (0730-1130) on January 2nd. Here are the full closure dates: 1 January (New Year's federal holiday), 15 January (regular MDG 3rd Thursday Training Day), and 19 January (MLK Jr federal holiday).

‼️NEW AND VERY IMPORTANT - RAO HOLIDAY CLOSURE ‼️

As in previous years, and as much of the rest of the base will be doing, the RAO will be closing for the holiday season to allow the staff time to observe the holidays with their family and friends. We will be closed starting on Tuesday, 23 December, and re-open for business as usual on Monday, 5 January. During the closure period, we will be monitoring our Org Box for any urgent matters needing attention.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during the closure. It's been our pleasure serving the military retiree population throughout the past year and we look forward to continuing to do so in 2026. Be safe and have an enjoyable holiday season!

**IMPORTANT!! YOKOTA HOSPITAL DECEMBER CLOSURE DATES**

The MDG posted this early yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 3 December). There are only four (4) closure dates, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve being half-day only closures, to allow our hard-working medics some extra family time during the holidays. In order, here they are: 18 December (regular MDG 3rd Thursday Training Day), 24 December 1130-1630 (Christmas Eve), 25 December (Christmas Day federal holiday), and 31 December 1130-1630 (New Year's Day Eve)

RAO NOTE: While not listed in the December slide, we're 99.9% sure the MDG will be closed for the New Year's federal holiday on 1 January. (So you have to nurse your own hangovers! - LOL!)
