福岡はラーメンで有名ですが、 は期待を裏切りませんでした！スナイプ首席公使は、九州訪問中にヴァーサ・パーキンス首席領事と一緒に美味しい食事を楽しみました。いただきます！
Fukuoka is known for its ramen, and did not disappoint! DCM Snipe was happy to join Principal Officer Virsa Perkins for this delicious meal during his recent visit to Kyushu. Itadakimasu!

アジア太平洋経済協力（APEC）米国上級代表のマット・マレー大使は、5月7日に日本の福岡を訪問し、地元のリーダーと革新的な官民パートナーシップ、労働力開発、デジタル経済について議論しました。政府、民間セクター、大学の関係者と会い、韓国で開催される次回のAPEC上級代表会議に向けて貴重な知見を得ました。グローバル都市を目指す取り組み、日本の半導体サプライチェーンにおける九州の役割、AIと量子技術の進展、そして半導体人材育成イニシアチブなどがハイライトとして挙げられました。

U.S. Senior Official for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ambassador Matt Murray visited Fukuoka, Japan, on May 7 to discuss innovative public-private partnerships, workforce development, and the digital economy with local leaders. He met with government, private sector, and university contacts, gaining valuable insights for the upcoming APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting in Korea. Highlights included Fukuoka’s initiatives to become a global city, Kyushu’s role in Japan’s semiconductor supply chain, advancements in AI and quantum technologies, and the semiconductor human resource development initiative.

２０２５年２月８日（土）、在福岡米国領事館ペイトン　ストレーダー広報担当領事が、在福岡米国領事館の協力のもとMicrosoftと日本の認定NPO法人CLACKの協力を通じて九州の教育者向けに開催されたAI研修会で挨拶を行いしました。この研修は昨年立ち上げた「米国・九州のサイバーセキュリティ・パートナーシップ」の一環としてマイクロソフトとの連携により実現しました。サイバーセキュリティやAIなどの重要技術における協力は、日米関係において非常に重要な優先事項です！ご参加いただいた教育関係者の皆さん、講師をしていただいたCLACKの浅野様、ありがとうございました！ #サイバーセキュリティ #教育 #日米関係 #オンラインイベント #国際協力

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, Consulate Fukuoka Public Affairs Officer Strader Payton gave remarks at an AI training session for educators in Kyushu organized through our cooperation with Microsoft and Japanese non-profit CLACK. This training was made possible through our connection with Microsoft as part of the "U.S.-Kyushu Cybersecurity Partnership Initiative." Collaboration in critical technologies like cybersecurity and AI is a high priority in the U.S.-Japan relationship! Thank you to all the educators who participated and to Mr. Asano from CLACK for serving as the instructor!

在福岡米国領事館はジミー・カーター第３９代米国大統領のご逝去の報に接し、哀悼の意を表します。大統領追悼のため、領事館は１月９日を休館日とします。なお、在福岡米国領事館は、下記の日時に弔問記帳を受付致します【１月６日、８日、１０日、いずれも午前１０時～午後４時】。誠に勝手ながら御供花・御供え等はご辞退申し上げます。

The community mourns the death of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States. The Consulate will be closed on Thursday, January 9 to observe a National Day of Mourning. The public is invited to sign a condolence book at the Consulate building on Jan. 6, 8, or 10 from 10 am to 4 pm. Please note the Consulate cannot receive flowers, gifts, or other offerings.
