G7倉敷労働雇用大臣会合参加者は、1923年開院の歴史ある「倉敷中央病院」を視察しました。最先端の施設・設備に加え、明るい陽射しの入る大きな窓、絵画、多くの自然を取り入れた癒し空間が特徴の病院です。

The participants of the G7 Kurashiki Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting visited the Kurashiki Central Hospital, which has a long history since its opening in 1923. In addition to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, the hospital features large windows that let in bright sunlight, paintings, and a healing space incorporating many natural features.

G7倉敷労働雇用大臣会合参加者は、倉紡記念館を視察しました。工場外壁に空調目的で植えられた蔦（アイビー）が美しい"アイビースクエア"は、1888年に紡績会社として設立された工場をリノベーションした施設であり、この建物は紡績の最初の工程を行っていたところです。

G7 Kurashiki Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting participants visited the Kurabo Memorial Museum in Ivy Square. Ivy Square, with its beautiful ivy planted on the outer wall for air conditioning purposes, is a renovated facility of a factory established in 1888 as a spinning company, where the first spinning process was conducted.

Participants of the G7 Kurashiki Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting took a commemorative photo in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. They marveled at the traditional buildings and the beautiful scenery along the river!

G7 Kurashiki Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting opened. At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Kato gave his opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of investment in human resources. Today, the G7 Labour and Employment Ministers will discuss the theme of "Labor Market Policies in Response to Post-Corona and Current Challenges" and other topics.

G7倉敷労働雇用大臣会合が開会しました。冒頭、加藤大臣より議長挨拶として、世界へ向けて人への投資への重要性の発信等挨拶が述べられました。本日は、「ポストコロナや現下の課題に対応した労働市場政策」等をテーマに話し合われます。

Agenda of Labour and Employment Ministers' Meeting 🧐「Investing in human capital」

Supporting individual efforts such as reskilling is necessary to make sure that motivated individuals will be able to make the best use of their talent and skills on the job.

Since the Group of Seven countries face a major transformation to a more digitalized and greener society as well as demographic changes such as declining birthrates and aging population, investing in human capital is the key to responding to those changes.

意欲ある個人が、その能力を最大限活かして働けるようにするためには、学び直しをはじめとする個々人の努力を支援することが必要です。

G7各国は、少子高齢化などの人口動態の変化やデジタル化・グリーン化の大きな変化に直面しています。これらの変化に対応できるよう、人への投資が重要です。

＼What is "Decent Work"?~ labour and employment ministers' meeting agenda／

Decent work is defined by (International Labour Organization) as the work that gives workers a sense of fulfillment and respects human dignity. It is intended to be achieved through the following four（ILO）strategic objectives : (1) promoting employment, (2) developing and enhancing measures of social protection, (3) promoting social dialogue and (4) respecting, promoting and realizing the fundamental principles and rights at work.

＼ 倉敷労働雇用大臣会合の議題～ディーセント・ワークって何ですか？／

（国際労働機関）によると、ディーセント・ワークとは、「働きがいのある人間らしい仕事」のことで、(1)雇用の促進、(2)社会的保護の方策の展開及び強化、(3)社会対話の促進、(4)労働における基本的原則及び権利の尊重、促進及び実現、の４つの（ILO）戦略目標を通してディーセント・ワークが実現されると位置付けられています。厚生労働省では、様々な労働政策を推進することでその実現に努めています。
