يصادف اليوم مرور 23 عاماً على رحيل زميلتنا العزيزة ووزيرة خارجية السويد السابقة آنا ليند.

كانت آنا صوتاً بارزاً ومؤثراً في الدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان والمساواة في القيمة الإنسانية لجميع الناس. وخلال مسيرتها السياسية، دعت إلى مجتمع دولي قوي، وشددت على أهمية جهود الأمم المتحدة والاتحاد الأوروبي في مجال الوقاية من النزاعات.
ولا يزال عملها القيّم وإرثها حاضرين حتى اليوم في وزارة الخارجية السويدية.

هل تعرفون عن مؤسسة آنا ليند؟
تأسست المؤسسة عام 2005 تخليداً لإرث آنا ليند، وهي منظمة حكومية دولية أورومتوسطية مقرها الإسكندرية، تعمل على تعزيز الحوار بين الثقافات وبناء مجتمعات أكثر شمولاً وتعاوناً في المنطقة الأورومتوسطية. ومنذ عام 2021، تترأس المؤسسة صاحبة السمو الملكي الأميرة ريم علي. وتضم شبكاتها الوطنية أكثر من 4,500 عضو من منظمات المجتمع المدني، فيما يضم مجلس محافظيها 43 دولة بينها #الاردن.

Today marks 23 years since we lost our dear colleague and former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Anna Lindh.

Anna was a major and influential voice for human rights and the equal worth of all people. Throughout her political career, she championed a strong international community and stressed the importance of UN and EU efforts focused on conflict prevention.

Her valuable work and memory continue to live on at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Did you know about the Foundation?
Established in 2005 in honour of Anna Lindh’s legacy, the Foundation is a Euro-Mediterranean intergovernmental organisation based in Alexandria that works to promote intercultural dialogue and build more inclusive societies across the region. Since 2021, the Foundation has been led by its President, HRH Princess Rym Ali of . Its national civil society networks bring together more than 4,500 members, while 43 states are represented on its Board of Governors.

⁨ ترى الحكومة السويدية أنه يتعين بذل المزيد من الجهود للحد من التجارة مع المستوطنات الإسرائيلية، ولا تزال #السويد من بين الدول داخل الاتحاد الأوروبي التي تتخذ خطوات واضحة لزيادة الضغط على الحكومة الإسرائيلية.

كما في السابق، نحن منفتحون على اتخاذ خطوات من شأنها تأمين دعم كافٍ داخل الاتحاد الأوروبي لإحداث فرق ملموس، وسنمنح الأولوية للعمل المشترك مع الدول الأعضاء الأخرى لما لذلك من أثر أكبر.
إن المستوطنات وسياسة الاستيطان تنتهكان القانون الدولي وتقوضان حل الدولتين.

The Swedish Government takes the view that more needs to be done to reduce trade with Israeli settlements, and Sweden remains one of the countries within the EU that is taking clear steps to increase pressure on the Israeli Government.

As before, we are open to taking steps to secure sufficient support within the EU to make a noticeable difference, and we will prioritise working together with other Member States as this will have a greater impact.

The settlements and the settlement policy are in violation of international law and undermine the two-state solution.

Impact Pioneers في المنزل السويدي في عمّان، في أمسية "للتعارف وتبادل الأفكار وبناء روابط جديدة، قبل "أسبوع السويد في #ستوكهولم.

Impact Pioneers هو برنامج من المعهد السويدي يجمع قادة يعملون على تعزيز منظومات ريادة الأعمال والابتكار في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا.

Impact Pioneers, a Swedish Institute programme, brings together leaders working to strengthen entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems across the MENA region.

Women Leading Political Change: A Jordan–Mexico South-South Dialogue 🇯🇴🇲🇽

Today at The University of Jordan - الجامعة الأردنية , the Global Leadership Academy for Women in the Digital Era, under UNDP’s ASPIRE initiative, is bringing together women leaders from Jordan and Mexico for a South-South Dialogue on women’s political participation.

The dialogue brings together Norma Irene de la Cruz Magaña, Amal Awadeh, MP Dina Al Bashir, Dr. Aya Al Asmar, and Ms. Abla Abu Olbeh to exchange experiences on breaking barriers, strengthening women’s leadership, and expanding women’s meaningful participation in political and public life.

The Dialogue contributes to ASPIRE’s work on advancing women’s electoral and political participation, promoting dialogue, peer learning and advocacy across countries and institutions.
