بعد ثلاث سنين مليانة إنجازات بعمّان، ودعنا نائب رئيس البعثة جول ماكريغور.

فترة عمله بالأردن تميّزت بشراكات قوية وتواصل فعّال والتزام كبير بتعزيز العلاقات بين أستراليا والأردن.

بشاشته وتفانيه وروحه التعاونيه تركت أثر طيب عند زملاؤه وكل حدا اشتتغل معه.

بنشكره على جهوده وبنتمناله كل التوفيق برحلته القادمة.

After three impactful years in Amman, we bid farewell to our Deputy Head of Mission, Joel McGregor.

Joel’s time in Jordan has been marked by strong partnerships, meaningful engagement, and a deep commitment to strengthening Australia-Jordan ties.

His warmth, dedication, and collaborative spirit have left a lasting impression on colleagues and partners alike.

We thank him for his service and wish him all the best in his next chapter. He will always remain a friend of Jordan. 🇦🇺🇯🇴

يوم الأحد، كان لنا شرف استضافة رئيس العمليات المشتركة في الجيش الأسترالي الفريق الركن جاستن جونز في الأردن 🇯🇴، والانضمام إليه إلى جانب السفيرة غانلي في إزاحة الستار عن حجر النصب التذكاري للأنزاك في السفارة الأسترالية في عمّان.

يجسّد هذا النصب تذكيراً مهماً بعمق الروابط التاريخية بين أستراليا 🇦🇺 والأردن، وبالتضحيات التي لا تزال ترسم ملامح قصتنا المشتركة منذ أكثر من قرن.

On Sunday, it was an honor to host Chief of Joint Operations of the Australian Defense Force, Vice Admiral Justin Jones in Jordan 🇯🇴 and to join him, alongside Ambassador Ganly, in unveiling the ANZAC Memorial Stone at the Australian Embassy in Amman.

The memorial is a powerful reminder of the deep historical ties between 🇦🇺 and 🇯🇴, and of the sacrifice that continues to shape our shared story more than a century ago.

قدمت أستراليا مساعدات إنسانية عاجلة إلى لبنان دعمًا للمدنيين المتأثرين بالنزاع، ولا سيما النساء والأطفال.

الأسبوع الماضي، انطلقت شاحنات المساعدات من الأردن إلى لبنان ضمن جهد إنساني مشترك جمع أستراليا والأردن وتسع دول أخرى بالإضافة إلى الاتحاد الأوروبي، محمّلة بالغذاء والخيام والمستلزمات الإغاثية الأساسية.

تواصل أستراليا ترحيبها بتمديد وقف إطلاق النار، مؤكدةً دعوتها لحماية المدنيين والعاملين في المجال الإنساني.

Australia is delivering urgent humanitarian assistance to Lebanon, supporting civilians affected by the conflict—particularly women and children.
Last week, aid trucks departed from Jordan to Lebanon as part of a joint effort involving Australia, Jordan, nine other countries, and the European Union, delivering food, tents, and essential relief supplies.

Australia continues to welcome the extension of the ceasefire and calls for the protection of civilians and humanitarian workers.

ودّعنا الأسبوع الماضي زميلنا ألان بعد أربع سنوات قضاها في الأردن. ممتنّون كثيرًا لالتزامه وروحه الإيجابية والعمل الجماعي الذي كان دائمًا جزءًا منه، وللأثر الطيب الذي تركه معنا طوال هذه الفترة. سنفتقده، ونتمنى له كل التوفيق والسعادة في خطوته القادمة.

Last week, we said farewell to our colleague Alain after four years in Jordan. We’re grateful for his dedication, teamwork, and the positive impact he made throughout his time with us. He will be truly missed, and we wish him every success and happiness in the next chapter of his journey.

If you want to leave the Middle East, can secure a flight and it’s safe to travel to the airport, don’t wait until it’s too late. If you remain, prioritise your safety. Monitor developments closely and follow local authorities’ advice, including any warnings to avoid areas deemed to be at high risk of targeting.

Places that have been targeted or threatened with attacks across the region include:
• airports
• hotels
• roads
• bridges
• universities
• energy infrastructure, including oil facilities
• water infrastructure
• other civilian infrastructure.
