🇮🇹✨ “Pizza Party” – The Closing Event of the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World in Amman ✨🇯🇴

The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World in Amman came to a successful close with a vibrant “Pizza Party” at the Mar Yohanna Center, celebrating the authentic flavors of Italy.

The evening was honored by the presence of H.E. Ambassador Luciano Pezzotti and the Director of the ITA – Italian Trade Agency Amman Office, who opened the event and introduced Maestro Domenico Scola and his assistant Maria Carmela Scola, members of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana.

Guests enjoyed an exceptional tasting experience featuring iconic Neapolitan specialties, including:
👉 Fried calzone,
👉 Montanara,
👉 Classic Neapolitan pizza,
in a culinary journey inspired by the traditions of Campania and Sicily.

The sweet finale was curated by pastry specialist Laura Pellegrino, who delighted guests with classic Sicilian desserts such as:
🍰 Sicilian cannoli,
🍰 Cassata,
🍰 and an exquisite pistachio tiramisù.

A joyful celebration of Italian excellence, taste, and tradition, marking a perfect conclusion to a week dedicated to Made in Italy.

🇮🇹✨ Italian Cuisine Week – “Hands in Dough” at the Haya Cultural Center ✨🇯🇴

Also on 30 November 2025, Maestro Domenico Scola entertained the children of the Dante Alighieri School with an activity dedicated to them, “Hands in Dough”, held at the Haya Cultural Center in Amman.

The Maestro introduced the young participants to the basics of stretching pizza dough, letting them play with flour, learn simple techniques, and experience the joy of creating something with their hands.
The activity ended with the children tasting delicious freshly made pizza — a moment of fun, learning, and authentic Italian tradition.

A heartfelt thank you to Maestro Scola, to the Dante Amman - Dante Alighieri and to everyone who made this educational and tasty experience possible. 🍕✨

🇮🇹✨ Italian Cuisine Week – ITA Amman at Ammon Applied University College ✨🇯🇴

On 30 November 2025, ITA – Italian Trade Agency Amman organized a special culinary lesson at Ammon Applied University College, dedicated to the art of authentic Neapolitan pizza.

The class was led by Maestro Domenico Scola and his assistant Maria Carmela Scola, members of AssociazioneVeracePizzaNapoletana (AVPN).
Students had the opportunity to learn the traditional techniques, ingredients, and gestures that define the world-renowned Neapolitan pizza.

🇮🇹✨ The Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World – ITA Amman at RACA ✨🇯🇴

Today, 27 November 2025, ITA – Italian Trade Agency Amman organized an exceptional cooking lesson at the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA), featuring the renowned Michelin-starred Chef Claudio Sadler.

Our Acting Trade Commissioner Elisa Salazar and Trade Analyst Nahel Chahin attended the event, while RACA students took part in a dedicated masterclass celebrating the excellence of Italian gastronomy.

Chef Sadler guided the students through the creation of two elegant dishes:
👉 Risotto cooked in Grana Padano water and finished with mushroom powder, highlighting the harmony between innovation and authentic Italian tradition;
👉 A fragrant truffle risotto, showcasing the depth and refinement of Italian culinary artistry.

This initiative is part of the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World 2025, reaffirming our commitment to promoting the quality, creativity, and cultural heritage of Made in Italy.

ICE Agency, in collaboration with UCIMA, inaugurated today the Italy Pavilion at Agro Pack & Food & Plast Iraq 2025, the leading trade fair in Iraq for food processing, packaging and plastic technologies.

📍 Erbil International Fairground – Kurdistan Region of Iraq

The Head of ICE Amman, Elisa Salazar, together with the ICE staff and the Consulate General of Italy in Erbil, attended the opening ceremony, held in the presence of local authorities, including:
* Mr. Safin Dizayee – Head of KRG Department of Foreign Relations
* Mr. Omed Khoshnaw – Governor of Erbil
* Dr. Muhammad Shukri – Chairman of the Kurdistan Board of Investment

📈 Iraq and the Kurdistan Region are key commercial partners for Italy. Imports of food processing and packaging machinery are growing significantly (average annual growth of +15.5% between 2015 and 2022), positioning Italy among the sector’s main suppliers.

On August 5, our Commissioner for Foreign Trade, Elisa Caterina Maria Salazar, accompanied by Trade Analyst Nahel Chahin, visited the GZM Gold – Unoaerre plant in Jordan.
