Lover’s Leap

Catch your breath! Lovers Leap—the 300-year-old lighthouse and landmark—is about to start rocking a new look on this old (South) coast

About a 20-minute drive in the direction of Mandeville, and just where the Santa Cruz mountains plunge over 1,700 feet into the ocean, you’ll find Lovers Leap.

It’s one of the highest-elevation lighthouses in the Caribbean. You come for the breathtaking view, one that looks out over the jagged South Coast and out to miles and miles of sea.

In October 2017, Jakes Hotel signed an agreement with the Jamaican government to manage Lovers Leap. Watch this space! In the coming months, we’ll be bringing the fun and the funky to this space. Expect some excitement to start soon.
