BEFORE YOU FEED YOUR BABY INSTANT FORMULA, DO THIS:
1. Wash your hands well before preparing bottles or feeding your baby.
2. Clean and sanitize the preparation area.
3. Wash and sanitize bottles before you prepare the formula.
4. Infant formula can be served at room temperature but if you choose to warm baby's bottle, never use a microwave. Microwaves heat milk and food unevenly, resulting in hot spots that can burn your baby's mouth and throat.
5. If you choose to warm your baby's bottle, place the bottle under running warm water.
6. Keep water from getting into the bottle or on the ni**le.
7. Before feeding, put a couple drops of infant formula on the back of your wrist to check the temperature.
8. If you use powdered infant formula, use water from a safe source to mix the infant formula.
10. If you unsure if the water is safe, use bottled water until your supply is restored.
