Brigadier Mahatma Williams proudly participated in the nationwide Read Across Jamaica initiative during a special visit to Avondale Preparatory School.

During the visit, Brigadier Williams engaged with the Grade 3 students, sharing valuable moments through storytelling and encouraging the importance of reading, learning, and personal development among the nation’s youth.

Initiatives such as these continue to strengthen community partnerships while inspiring the next generation to lead, learn, and achieve.

Over a 7-day period, the Jamaica Regiment continued its relentless commitment to national security through decisive and coordinated operations.

Across the parishes of St Andrew, Kingston, St Elizabeth, and Westmoreland, our soldiers conducted 9 targeted raids, resulting in:

🔹 4 persons detained
🔹 31 persons searched
🔹 17 premises searched

These operations reflect our continued resolve to disrupt criminal activity and safeguard our communities.

Day 1 of the Final Exercise is officially underway

The JNSCs continue to demonstrate discipline, resilience, and tactical proficiency as they put their training to the ultimate test. From first light, they have been executing operational exercises with precision, teamwork, and determination under demanding conditions.

This phase marks a critical milestone in their journey where skills are sharpened, leadership is tested, and standards are upheld.

The Jamaica Regiment continues to build discipline, precision, and confidence.

As part of the Infantry Orientation Training, JNSC trainees successfully completed their Flat Range Shooting exercise. Demonstrating focus, control, and a strong commitment to mastering the fundamentals of marksmanship. From safety drills to live firing, each round fired reflects growth, resilience, and readiness.

This milestone marks another step in shaping capable, disciplined individuals prepared to serve with excellence.
