Clarendon Youth Information Centre Clarendon Youth Innovation Centre is a branch of the Ministry of Youth and Culture that specializes

Youth Information Centres offer a wide range of services to young people. However, in the main, the services offered at each YIC tends to be centered on Career Development, the promotion of Healthy (sexual) Lifestyles, Youth Entrepreneurship and Personal Empowerment. The Youth Information Centre is a good place to start if a young person wants to:

become more involved in Youth Work

build self-esteem and confidence
get information and brochures on HIV/AIDS and other STI’s and diseases
find out how to maintain a Healthy(sexual) Lifestyle
Get information on local and international scholarships
know what’s happening with the NYS and HEART

The Caribbean Community, in partnership with the Caribbean Regional Youth Council and the United Nations Popula intion Fund, will be hosting a Regional Summit in Kingston, Jamaica.

The CARICOM Youth Summit is scheduled to be held from Monday, October 2- Thursday, October, 5, 2023 at the UWI Mona Regional Headquarters. The Summit will target:
18-29 year olds
Marginalised Youth
Rural Youth
Members of the National Youth Council
In an effort to support the event, the Ministry of Education, through the Youth and Adolescents Policy Division, has agreed to mobilise 26 young persons to attend the Summit.

Transportation and accommodation will be provided for the duration of the Summit. Traveling dates are October 1, 2023 (arrival) and October 6, 2023 (departure).

A registration form for the young people is attached to this email for completion.
