The Property Tax Mobile Collection Team stopped at the Coffee Grove Seventh Day Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, bringing property tax services directly to residents of the community.

Residents had the opportunity to make payments and access property tax services closer to home.

The Manchester Municipal Corporation in partnership with the Ministry of Local Government and Tax Administration Jamaica will continue bringing these mobile units closer to communities across the parish.

As part of the Manchester Municipal Corporation's ongoing efforts to improve wayfinding and accessibility across the parish, a number of street name signs were recently installed in the Johns Hall Division represented by Councillor Devon Wilson.

Signage were installed at Grass Piece and Johnson Town, along with directional signs indicating routes to New Hope, Adam Valley, Glen Head and Mayfield.

Wélcome Sign Complete - Prospect, Alligator Pond Division

What began as a Labour Day project on May 25. 2026 has now been completed.

Since that first day of work, the project progressed steadily to completion, resulting in a permanent, welcoming landmark at the entrance to Prospect. The sign not only serves as a directional marker but a symbol of community pride and identity for residents of the district.

A special thank you to the volunteers, community members and partners who contributed their time and effort from the very first day of construction to its completion.

The Manchester Municipal Corporation continues to support community-driven initiatives that build a stronger sense of pride across the parish.

Mollison Gabion Wall Construction and Roadway Reinstatement Now Complete

The Manchester Municipal Corporation is pleased to announce the successful completion of the gabion wall construction at Mollison, Christiana, along with full reinstatement of the roadway.

The project was undertaken in response to erosion and instability affecting the embankment along the roadway, which posed a risk to both the structural integrity of the road and the safety of motorists and pedestrians using the route.

The gabion wall was constructed to provide long-term slope stabilization, reduce the risk of further land movement, and protect the roadway from future erosion damage.

With construction of the wall now complete, works have also concluded on reinstating the roadway to full operational standard, including surface repairs with drainage improvements, ensuring safe and reliable passage for residents and commuters.

The Corporation extends sincere thanks to the residents of Mollison and the wider Christiana Division for their patience and cooperation throughout the construction period. We also acknowledge the efforts of our engineering team and contractors for their work in bringing this project to completion.

The Manchester Municipal Corporation remains committed to maintaining and strengthening the parish's road infrastructure, and will continue to prioritize projects that protect our communities and improve safety for all road users.
