The Southern Regional Health Authority is a statutory body of the Ministry of Health. which is responsible for the efficient health care delivery to residents of Manchester, Clarendon and St. As one of four regional health authorities across the island, the SRHA delivers service through a network of 74 health centres, 5 hospitals, 1 community hospital and 2 rural maternity centres.

On Friday, May 29, 2026, the Clarendon Health Department’s Mental Health Unit, in association with the May Pen Hospital, hosted a Mental Health Seminar at the May Pen Hospital, featuring presentations from psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers.

Discussions focused on important topics including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), developmental disorders in children, and mental health support strategies, highlighting the importance of awareness, education and early intervention.
