Chance has never yet satisfied the hope of a suffering people.... Progress is the attraction that moves humanity.-Marcus Garvey
The Jamaican governments (both parties) have lost sight of what it means to be Jamaican. They are so far out of touch with reality that they are unaware of the very real suffering that we are experiencing. I will not say ‘they have failed us completely’ because words are
not enough to speak to the level of disappointment I feel in relations to the status quo. Growing up in a state where innovation and basic survival skills are thwarted by shrewd laws is not the mark or development. We need to break the government’s monopoly on power, we need to all have a say the country belongs to US. We cannot continue to live in a country in which capital interest has become more important than the citizenry. The aim of the JYRM is to take back that which is ours, the country needs to be returned to our hands so that together we can begin to heal and rebuild. Jamaicans have always rallied in the face of injustice; this is the final chance the country will get in making a decisive stand, the government is illegitimate, they are not acting in the benefit of the electorate. A new way forward has to be tabled, bipartisan, grass roots and tribalism has gotten us thus far! is this vision of Jamaica we really wanted? Throw down the shackles hear my battle cry we are taking back the country one mind at a time.
