The Mico University College Child Assessment and Research in Education (CARE) Centre, was established in 1981 to meet the needs of children requiring Special Education in Jamaica and the English-speaking Caribbean. The Centre is the result of collaboration between the Netherlands Government and the Government of Jamaica. Since then, two other centres were established, at Ridgemount, Mandeville and

the other at Royes Street, St. The Mico University College (CARE) Centre is a public institution which provides Special Education Services to school-aged children with multiple problems that affect learning. The Centre is committed to offering the highest quality diagnostic and therapeutic services.
